Student answer (Band 5.0)
I believe the online entertainment is becoming increasingly popular, butt theatre and cinema are still important both economically and culturally. Later on we discuss both the views in detail.
Firstly People can watch all the entertainment they want online because there are different online platform available to public for online entertainment like Netflix, You tube, Online Streaming, etc. Therefor there is no need of theatre and cinemas. Furthermore there is another reasons to watch entertainment online like watch at home, no travel, privacy, etc. Nowadays traffic is very big problems for all of us in large cities. That's why in entertainment areas their are huge amount of public rush this is the another benefit to watch online entertainment. People can also entertain with family in online entertainment.
On the other hand others people argue that theaters and cinemas are still important both economically and culturally. There are many people that do jobs in theatre and cinema so this are totally depend upon theatre and cinema. Furthermore theatre and cinema give another vibes to public some people like to watch entertainment on cinemas and theatre because they are like outing, entertainment, travelling, etc. Many young people like to watch movie in theatre and cinema in the group. so theatre is also important economically and culturally.
In conclusion, most people can watch all the entertainment they want online butt there is importance of cinema and theatres both economically and culturally. My opinion is Both have different enjoyment and entertainment but both have importance.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the task. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments provided, such as 'traffic' or 'no travel', are somewhat simplistic and lack depth. The essay would benefit from more sophisticated reasoning regarding the cultural impact of cinemas or the specific economic implications for the film industry. The position is stated but remains underdeveloped throughout the body paragraphs. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points with more detailed explanations and specific examples.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the progression of ideas is often mechanical. The use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes repetitive (e.g., 'Furthermore', 'That's why'). There are instances where the logical flow is hindered by awkward phrasing, such as 'Later on we discuss both the views in detail', which is an unnecessary meta-commentary. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the transition between ideas within paragraphs could be smoother to improve the overall readability and logical flow of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, often relying on simple terms like 'entertainment', 'watch', and 'important'. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'public rush' instead of 'crowds' and 'give another vibes' instead of 'provide a different atmosphere'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas with precision. To improve, you should focus on learning collocations and more academic synonyms for common words. The spelling of 'butt' instead of 'but' and 'You tube' as two words are minor errors, but they reflect a lack of attention to detail.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are frequent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'there is another reasons', 'this are totally depend'), article usage (e.g., 'in cinemas and theatre'), and sentence structure. The range of structures is limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences with some basic conjunctions. Complex structures are attempted but are often faulty. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that subjects and verbs agree and that plurals are used correctly in general statements.
