Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention economic and cultural growth, the explanation is somewhat superficial and lacks specific, well-developed examples. The argument regarding online platforms is clearer, but the overall depth of analysis is restricted by the brevity of the paragraphs. To improve, ensure that each point is supported by a more detailed explanation or a concrete example to fully satisfy the 'well-developed' requirement of higher band descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'TO COMMENCE WITH' is used in a way that feels forced, and the transition 'IN ADDITION TO FOR MANAGING' is grammatically awkward. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as 'SOME OF IT BELIEVES', where the pronoun 'it' does not clearly refer back to a noun. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words and ensuring clear logical progression between sentences would significantly enhance the flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary range is limited and often repetitive. There are several instances of word-choice errors and non-standard collocations, such as 'MEJOUR CONTRIBUTION' (major), 'ENTERTAINMENT THING', and 'RELIES IN TOCIS' (likely meaning 'released in theatres'). These errors occasionally impede the reader's understanding. To reach a higher band, you should focus on using more precise vocabulary related to the topic—such as 'digital streaming services', 'cinematic experience', or 'economic impact'—and ensure that you are using words in their correct grammatical form.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that affect the clarity of your message. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'SOME INDIVIDUALS THINKS', 'CINEMAS HALL ARE LARGELY CONTRIBUTES') and sentence structure (e.g., 'SO THEY NO ANY NEED TO LEAVES'). The range of structures is limited, relying mostly on simple sentences with some errors in complex constructions. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles and prepositions. Proofreading for these fundamental errors will help ensure your ideas are communicated more effectively.
