Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some individuals belief that in the digital era, theatres and cinemas are no longer crucial as pupil can see all the amusement they want on net .Others claim that theatres and cinemas are still vital both financially and in cultural point of view. Therefore, ahead of my opinion both views will be discussed further.
Examining the former opinion. the primary argument the supporters would put forward is owing to the fact of easily accessible online platforms made theaters and cinemas less valuable today. They can enjoy required entertainment with comfort at home without the hustle of going to cinemas. In addition , they also believe that it is time consuming to go to cinema in getting tickets and other protocols like checking yourself before entry. Being at home spares their precious time.
On the contrary, those in the favour of the latter opinion have their own arguments. To begin with , they claim that these places are still important both economically and culturally since all the artists community earned from these professions. Although digital platforms show numerous projects ,films and dramas but still there are some theaters that have weekly showed awareness programs in which online audience give their opinions about the show and are highly appreciated by directors and next program also have decided according to general public recommendation. These theaters and cinemas are having exemplary value due to the culturally recognized projects internationally. These reflects our traditional views and practices.
To conclude and offer my position, these are convincing arguments both for and against importance of theaters and cinemas. However, i certainly favor the latter opinion.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding the economic and cultural importance of cinemas is vague, mentioning 'awareness programs' and 'public recommendation' without providing concrete, well-supported examples. The conclusion is also quite brief and lacks a summary of the main points to reinforce the position. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your arguments with more specific details or real-world examples, ensuring that the connection between your points and the prompt is more robustly established.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'On the contrary', and 'In addition'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as the phrase 'ahead of my opinion' in the introduction, which is not standard academic English. Additionally, some transitions between sentences are abrupt. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words will help the flow of your writing appear more natural and sophisticated.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward word choices, such as 'pupil' instead of 'people' or 'viewers', and 'on net' instead of 'online'. Phrases like 'hustle of going' are also slightly informal or misused in this context. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'economically and culturally', the overall range is limited. To improve, focus on learning collocations and using more precise academic terminology rather than relying on basic or slightly inaccurate phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally hinder clarity. Examples include 'Some individuals belief' (should be 'believe'), 'artists community earned' (should be 'artist community earns'), and 'next program also have decided' (should be 'is decided'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary spaces before commas and periods. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from achieving a higher band. You should focus on subject-verb agreement, verb tense consistency, and basic proofreading to eliminate these avoidable slips.
