Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is inconsistent. While you mention economic and cultural benefits, these points are not fully explored or supported with concrete examples. The argument regarding 'networking' is a relevant point, but the explanation is somewhat repetitive and lacks depth. The conclusion is incomplete and fails to summarize the main points effectively, which weakens the overall task response. To improve, ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and that your arguments are supported by specific, logical reasoning rather than general statements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow between and within them is often disjointed. While you use some cohesive devices like 'Furthermore' and 'On the other hand', their usage is sometimes mechanical or inaccurate. For instance, the transition in the second paragraph is abrupt, and the final sentence of the essay is unfinished, which disrupts the coherence of the conclusion. Referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow your line of reasoning. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph builds logically on the previous one will help improve your score in this area.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. You rely on basic terms such as 'important', 'benefits', and 'good'. There are also some errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'improve in their work' instead of 'improve their work' and 'relief from the stress' instead of 'relieve stress'. To reach a higher band, focus on using more sophisticated vocabulary and collocations related to the topic, such as 'cinematic experience', 'cultural significance', or 'digital transformation', and ensure that words are used in their correct grammatical form.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'it can benefits'), incorrect preposition usage, and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'Theatres abd cinemas should be promoted watch by many people'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary commas and capitalization errors. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors prevents the text from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading your work to correct basic errors in tense, agreement, and sentence structure to improve your accuracy.
