Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention economic and cultural benefits, the arguments could be extended with more specific examples or deeper analysis. For instance, when discussing the 'shared experience' of cinemas, you could elaborate on why this is culturally superior to solitary home viewing. The conclusion is a bit repetitive, restating points already made rather than synthesizing them. To reach a higher band, ensure that each body paragraph provides a fully developed argument rather than just listing points.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'On the other hand', and 'Moreover' to link ideas. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the transition into the conclusion is abrupt due to the missing word 'In' at the start. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different viewpoints. To improve, try to use a wider range of cohesive devices and ensure that the progression of ideas within paragraphs is smoother and less reliant on simple list-like structures.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'significant', 'revenue', and 'immense'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'entrainment shows' (should be 'entertainment') and 'play a significant role in economically' (should be 'economically'). Additionally, there is some repetition of basic words like 'easily' and 'different'. To improve, focus on using more precise academic collocations and ensure that your word forms are correct (e.g., using the adverb 'economically' correctly in the sentence structure).

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors, such as 'Conclusion, in my opinion i believe' (punctuation and capitalization errors), 'films which follows' (subject-verb agreement), and 'immense themselves' (should be 'immerse'). These errors do not impede communication, but they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. To improve, pay closer attention to subject-verb agreement, proper capitalization, and the correct usage of verbs like 'immerse' versus the adjective 'immense'.
