Student answer (Band 5.0)
I believe that theatre and cinemas are still important because as people are so busy in their life and spending free time on phone causes further boredom and mental stress .To improve mental health ,we should try our best to limit indoor activities and start promoting outdoor recreational activities like theatre and cinemas .These activities help the people to communicate with each other and increase the social circle because the need of an hour is to limit the screen time among all age group as it causes drastical health hazards leading to depression, anxiety, disturb vision and many other mental illness .MOREOVER If we increase such kind of spots it increases the country economy .if government make such kind of places owned by government ,it increases the revenue as a result it increases the economy .I truly believe there should be large amount of such places so that there will be no crowd in any single place. the developed countries although are highly advanced in technology but they have large amount of such kind of places because they know how to increase their economy.they generate large amount of revenue by increasing such places that will attract the tourist and it enhaces the worth of their area .if now government want to increase the economy ,it should have to work on such kind of activities and places .this will help minimizing diseases and give a positive impact on society

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you attempt to address both sides of the argument, the discussion is superficial and lacks depth. You focus heavily on the health and economic benefits of physical venues but fail to adequately address the opposing view—that online entertainment has rendered cinemas and theatres obsolete. The position is clear, but the lack of word count and the repetitive nature of the arguments prevent a full development of the task. To improve, ensure you provide balanced coverage of both perspectives and expand on your points with specific, illustrative examples.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay lacks a clear paragraph structure, appearing as a single block of text. This makes it difficult for the reader to follow the progression of your argument. While you use some cohesive devices like 'MOREOVER' and 'as a result', they are often used mechanically or incorrectly. The referencing is sometimes unclear, and the lack of paragraphing means there is no logical separation between the introduction, the discussion of the two views, and your conclusion. Improving your use of paragraphing and transition signals will significantly enhance the flow and readability of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is somewhat limited and repetitive. Phrases like 'such kind of places' and 'increase the economy' are used multiple times, which reduces the sophistication of the text. There are also errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'disturb vision' instead of 'blurred vision' and 'drastical health hazards' instead of 'drastic health hazards'. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use a wider range of vocabulary, including less common lexical items, and ensure that your word choices are precise and contextually appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('if government make'), article usage ('the country economy'), and sentence structure. Many sentences are run-on or lack proper punctuation, which hinders clarity. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often faulty. For example, 'the developed countries although are highly advanced in technology but they have...' is grammatically incorrect. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring correct subject-verb agreement, and using punctuation to separate independent clauses effectively.
