Some people say that in the digital age, theatres and cinemas are no longer important as people can watch all the entertainment they want online, while others argue that theatres and cinemas are still important both economically and culturally. This essay will discuss both views before explaining why I believe that theater and cinema must exist.

On the one hand, many people believe that theaters and cinemas are no longer needed according to develop technology such as they can obtain all entertainment needs from internet, platforms and others. Especially, youngers more get along to online environment, they prefer that.

On the other hand, some people argue that theaters and cinemas are still important, technically it helps get senses of cultures, encouraging art, culture and entertainment industries. In addition, going to the theater or cinema is a good way of spending time and a simple and memorable idea for individuals.

In my opinion, performers can more feel worths of their performances in the theater or cinema. By contrast, number of audiences is decreasing in every year, the reason is demanding in a develop of technology. Nevertheless, I believe that theaters and cinemas are still important for people.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, but the development is insufficient. The essay is significantly under the 250-word minimum, which limits the depth of the arguments. Ideas such as 'youngers more get along to online environment' are mentioned but not adequately supported with examples or logical expansion. The conclusion is also very brief and lacks a summary of the main points. To improve, you must expand each body paragraph with specific examples or detailed explanations to meet the length requirement and fully develop your position.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay uses basic cohesive devices like 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand' to structure the response. However, the progression of ideas is often disjointed. For instance, the transition between the second and third paragraphs is abrupt. The use of referencing is sometimes unclear, and the paragraphing is present but the content within the paragraphs is too sparse to demonstrate a logical flow of thought. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence followed by supporting details will enhance the coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. There are several instances of awkward word choices and non-standard collocations, such as 'according to develop technology' instead of 'due to technological developments' and 'performers can more feel worths' instead of 'performers feel a greater sense of value'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas precisely. You should focus on learning topic-specific collocations related to technology and the arts, and practice using more precise verbs and adjectives to convey your meaning more effectively.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. There are issues with sentence structure, such as 'the reason is demanding in a develop of technology', and incorrect word forms like 'youngers' instead of 'young people'. The range of complex structures is very limited, and simple sentences dominate the text. Errors in subject-verb agreement and preposition usage are common. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like article usage and pluralization.
