Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention economic and cultural benefits, the points are not fully extended with specific examples or deeper analysis. For instance, the mention of 'employment scope' is a good start, but it lacks detail. To reach a higher band, ensure that each supporting point is elaborated upon with more depth. The position is clear, but the overall argument could be more persuasive if the connection between the digital age and the decline of physical venues was explored with more nuance.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. There is a basic progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or repetitive. For example, the transition between sentences could be smoother; phrases like 'As a result' and 'To exemplify' are used correctly, but the overall flow feels slightly disjointed. Additionally, some referencing is unclear, such as the pronoun usage in the second paragraph. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring better paragraph transitions would enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'undeniable fact', 'cultural and historical importance', and 'artistic expression'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'plays essential role' (missing an article) and 'trilling movies' (likely meant 'thrilling'). The vocabulary is generally functional but lacks the precision and sophistication required for higher bands. To improve, focus on using more collocations correctly and expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary beyond basic terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('theatres and cinemas has', 'There are some who thinks'), missing articles ('plays essential role'), and incorrect preposition usage ('contributes in countries economies'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent throughout the text. To improve, pay closer attention to subject-verb agreement and article usage, and try to incorporate a wider variety of complex structures with greater accuracy.
