Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this modern era, technological development plays an essential role by variety of innovations. After advance online apps and platforms development, some people believe that cinemas are not that much popular because people can watch all the entertainment they want online, while others hold an opposite perspectives that theatres are still influence on individuals. In my opinion, although development of online platform, people most of the people like to go cinemas because it has more benefits.
According to the first views, people can enjoy wide range of shows, movies and series on online basis and they also like to watch them on online because it is quite convenient for them. To elaborate, after moving in cities especially young people do not have time to go cinemas so that, they like to watch the entertainment programs online. They can enjoy them at any time and any where. Additionally, it is cost friendly. people can buy subscriptions according to their need. Therefore, it is quite cheap for them. For instance, a lot of young people and teenagers like to buy OTT platforms subscriptions such as Netflix, Discovery, Hot star and so on, because they are less costly and provide independency individuals.
On the other hand, some people want to enjoy physical and visual graphic that is why they always like to visit theatres. Also, it provides them an opportunities to spend quality time with their family members and friends, which directly improves their bond each other. Furthermore, they can not only reduce their stress but also make memories them, so that cinemas help them socially. Apart form that, if people visit cinemas so that these things improve employment opportunities in the society, which directly affects on economically development of country. For example, people like to visit cinemas especially for experiencing the 3D, 4DX and IMAX screens.
From my perspective, people should visit cinemas because it not only helps culturally but also improves better income sources for individuals. What is more, instead of living alone and increasing their stress their, people can enjoy by visiting theatres and spend their leisure time with their close once.
In conclusion, although online programs and OTT platforms provide cheap and convenience options, I believe the advantages of theatres and cinemas are more a significant such as, experience something new, time spending with each other, better employment opportunities and creating a life long memories.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the convenience of streaming services versus the social and economic benefits of cinemas. However, some arguments are slightly under-developed; for example, the economic argument regarding employment could be supported with more specific detail. The position is consistent throughout the essay. To reach a higher band, ensure that each supporting point is fully explored with more depth and nuance rather than listing several points briefly.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'In this modern era', 'According to the first views', and 'On the other hand' are used to guide the reader. However, there is some mechanical use of these devices, and some transitions are slightly awkward, such as 'Apart form that, if people visit cinemas so that these things improve...'. Referencing is generally clear, but the flow between sentences could be smoother to achieve a more natural progression of ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the student to express ideas clearly. There are attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'OTT platforms', 'subscriptions', and 'economically development'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'not that much popular', 'online basis', and 'independency individuals'. Spelling errors like 'Apart form' and 'close once' (instead of 'close ones') also occur. To improve, the student should focus on learning common collocations and refining their use of academic phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the cinemas', 'the economically development'), prepositions, and verb forms ('theatres are still influence'). Some sentences are structurally incomplete or awkward, such as 'After advance online apps and platforms development'. While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Increasing the accuracy of basic grammar and refining complex sentence construction will help improve this score.
