Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While the essay addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, the points are underdeveloped and lack sufficient supporting evidence or examples. The ideas are presented in a very brief manner, and the conclusion is abrupt. To improve, you must expand on your arguments with detailed explanations and specific examples to ensure the task is fully addressed as per the requirements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical progression of ideas is hindered by the brevity of the content. While some cohesive devices are used, such as 'Firstly', 'Moreover', and 'On the other hand', they are sometimes used mechanically. The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences is disjointed. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph contains a clear topic sentence followed by well-developed supporting points to create a more cohesive argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, with frequent spelling errors such as 'Nowdays', 'threatures', 'canimas', 'onilne', 'entertainmnet', 'convient', 'ruduce', 'travling', 'wathch', 'effetive', 'expansive', 'darams', and 'crezy'. These errors, combined with basic word choices, restrict the ability to convey complex ideas effectively. To reach a higher band, you need to expand your vocabulary range, focus on accurate spelling, and use more precise collocations related to the topic of entertainment and economics.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, such as 'Nowdays life has changed all entertainment materials easily available online' (missing verb/preposition) and 'Their is great place' (incorrect pronoun). Punctuation is also inconsistent. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevents the use of a wider range of complex structures. Focus on mastering subject-verb agreement and basic sentence construction before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
