Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response is significantly under the 250-word minimum requirement, which severely limits your ability to develop ideas. While you attempt to address both sides of the argument and provide a personal opinion, the discussion is extremely brief and lacks the necessary depth and supporting examples required for a higher band. The essay is also incomplete, ending abruptly mid-sentence. To improve, you must expand on your points with specific examples and ensure you provide a full, structured essay that meets the length requirement to allow for a comprehensive discussion of the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay lacks a clear structure due to its incomplete nature. While there is an attempt to use cohesive devices like 'Firstly' and 'On other hand', the overall progression of ideas is hindered by the lack of development and the abrupt ending. Paragraphing is present but insufficient because the second paragraph is not completed. To improve, focus on creating a clear introduction, distinct body paragraphs that fully explore each viewpoint, and a concluding paragraph that summarizes your position. Ensure that each sentence flows logically into the next using a variety of linking words.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. There are frequent spelling errors such as 'entertainmnet', 'conveniet', 'threatres', 'Amazone', and 'resurvation'. The range of vocabulary is basic and does not demonstrate the flexibility needed for higher bands. To improve, focus on learning the correct spelling of common academic terms and try to incorporate more precise vocabulary related to the topic of entertainment and economics. Avoid repeating the same words and phrases throughout the text.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('online entertainment are', 'Some peoples consider'), missing articles, and incorrect word forms ('important for economically'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with spaces missing after commas and periods. The sentence structures are simple and often lack grammatical accuracy. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles. Proofreading your work for punctuation and basic grammatical slips will also help increase your score.
