Student answer (Band 5.5)

As of my opinion ,its true that, most of the entertainment is available online and people can watch it there nevertheless the theaters and cinema still hold the previllege of being imperative for both economy and cultural.

Most people therefore using there mobiles or laptops to get the content online they want to watch , still its something they prefer to do when they are alone or need me time. while in family or friends gatherings ,its preferred to go to cinema so they can have some quality time together. Some people walk to the cinema while other takes the vehicles but the time they get even in the process of going to cinema holds great value. Even their are movies and dramas available on the internet and can be accessed easily ,people prefer to have a more wide and natural experience while watching it in cinema among the crowd ,where they can even experience more emotional rollercoasters and mutual reactions or opinions .

other than the personal satisfication ,theaters and cinema has undoubtable cultural and economical value.

People who have had a literal understanding of theaters ,they loved watching performances there. Movies are being watched in the whole country. Some movies are even promoted foreign countries. and it benefit our economy. if the more and more people watch movies in cinemas as well as encourage them . The best part is its still happening.

in conclusion both have their distinct values. both online and movies in cinema are also going hand in hand.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited. For example, the economic argument is mentioned but lacks specific detail or examples to support the claim that movies 'benefit our economy'. The essay tends to over-generalize, and the connection between the points is sometimes weak. While the task is addressed, the lack of depth and the brevity of the arguments prevent a higher score. To improve, you should expand on your points with concrete examples or logical explanations rather than just stating them.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is often interrupted by awkward phrasing and a lack of cohesive devices. Transitions between sentences are frequently missing or mechanical, such as the abrupt start of the final paragraph. Referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of ideas. For instance, the transition from discussing personal satisfaction to cultural value is abrupt. Using a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in contrast') would significantly improve the flow and clarity of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of incorrect word choice or collocation, such as 'previllege of being imperative' and 'literal understanding of theaters'. Spelling errors are also present (e.g., 'previllege', 'satisfication'). While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is limited, and the use of more sophisticated or academic terminology is missing. To reach a higher band, focus on learning collocations and ensuring accurate spelling of key terms related to the topic.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that occasionally impede readability. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'theaters and cinema has'), missing articles, and run-on sentences. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with spaces missing before commas and periods. While the meaning is usually understandable, the frequency of these errors is high. To improve, focus on basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and proofreading for punctuation errors to ensure your writing is more polished and accurate.
