Student answer (Band 5.5)
Several individuals claim that in this modern era, theatres and cinemas not give importance as individuals can watch all the movies and videos they watch online, while other claim that cinemas and theatres are still vital for both economically and culturally, although cinemas are crucial for our economic in order to generate profit, i believe peoples can watch online with free of cost.
On the one hand, individuals can watch movies and it depend on their moods to go to the theatre or watch online. Some people can watch movies online rather than going theatre because the same movie they watch free of cost, whereas other watch into theatre due to their choice and want to take experience into theatre. However the major firms who invest more money into specific film their money might be fell and getting lose for our economically as well.
On the other hand, massive theatres and cinemas plays vital role for our economic development. for instance, some major companies invest into major project films and if one can watch online so they cannot getting profit moreover, our ecosystem cycle could be damage. Policymakers should address this issue such as banned the illegal websites and other url, which can provide movies free of cost.
In conclusion, although cinemas and theatres are important for economic and cultural development, I believe that watching movies online is a more convenient and affordable option for many people. However, governments should take strict action against illegal websites to protect the film industry and ensure that companies can earn a fair profit from their productions.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both views and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments regarding economic impact are somewhat repetitive and lack depth, particularly the vague mention of the 'ecosystem cycle'. The position is clear, but the supporting arguments are not fully extended or supported with specific, concrete examples. The essay tends to over-generalise, and the link between the digital age and the decline of physical venues could be explored with more sophisticated reasoning to reach a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, the transition 'However the major firms...' is used incorrectly to introduce a point that does not contrast with the previous sentence. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as the use of 'they' and 'their' without clear antecedents. While there is an overall progression, the logical flow between sentences is frequently interrupted by awkward phrasing and repetitive sentence structures, which hinders the smooth development of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There is frequent repetition of basic words like 'movies', 'theatre', and 'online'. Some word choices are unnatural or incorrect, such as 'not give importance' instead of 'are no longer considered important', and 'getting lose for our economically' which is grammatically and lexically incorrect. The student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary, but the lack of control over collocations and word forms limits the effectiveness of the communication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. While there are attempts at complex sentences, they are often marred by grammatical errors, such as 'some major companies invest into major project films and if one can watch online so they cannot getting profit'. There are frequent errors in verb tense, subject-verb agreement, and word order (e.g., 'banned the illegal websites'). These errors are noticeable and occasionally cause the reader to pause, though they do not completely prevent the message from being understood. A greater variety of error-free complex structures is needed.
