Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides an opinion, though the development is somewhat superficial. While you mention the economic and cultural importance of cinemas, the arguments are not fully extended. For instance, the point about road safety education is interesting but lacks sufficient explanation to be convincing. The position is clear, but the conclusion introduces a somewhat contradictory idea about 'flexibility' that was not previously explored. To improve, ensure each main idea is supported by a clear example or a logical explanation that directly relates to the prompt's focus on the digital age versus traditional venues.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow is occasionally disrupted by abrupt transitions. You use some cohesive devices like 'However' and 'On the other hand,' but they are sometimes used mechanically or inappropriately, such as starting sentences with 'And' or 'But.' The paragraphing is also problematic; the essay is essentially one long block of text, which makes it difficult for the reader to follow the progression of ideas. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'culturally values added to it' instead of 'cultural value' and 'releying' (spelling error). You rely on basic vocabulary like 'good' or 'important' and struggle with collocations. To reach a higher band, focus on using more sophisticated vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'digital transformation,' 'socio-economic impact,' or 'cinematic experience,' and ensure you check your spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'youngster usually having preference'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'many schools taught some program'), and missing articles. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with sentence fragments. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on mastering subject-verb agreement and refining your use of complex sentence structures to improve accuracy.
