Some individuals believe that in the digital age, theatres and cinemas are not much crucial as people can watch all entertainments they want online. It is true that, nowadays people can easily connect with internet and search what they want also they take entertainment in any time. However, Others feel that theratres and cinemas are still significant both economically and culturally. I believe both arguments have their own value. I discuss both these views and provide my overall opinion.
On the one hand, theatres and cinemas are no longer important because people are more likely to use internet through their work and entertainment purpose. Nowadays, people has become busy their work and their children also busy by studies. As a result, they have not enough time to visit theatres and cinemas also ticket price so high. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both views and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is limited. For instance, the argument regarding economic and cultural importance is somewhat vague, using terms like 'theatres stadium' and 'ancient lifestyle' without clear explanation or concrete examples. The position is clear, but the supporting arguments lack depth and analytical rigor. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points with more specific reasoning and clearer examples rather than relying on general statements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, the transition 'By contrast, the main reason why...' is used, but the following sentences lack smooth logical progression. There are also issues with referencing; the use of 'they' and 'their' is sometimes ambiguous, making it difficult to track the subjects. Paragraphing is present, but the internal flow within paragraphs is often disjointed, which hinders the overall coherence of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'not much crucial' (should be 'not very important') and 'take profit'. There are also several awkward collocations, such as 'cut ticket' instead of 'purchase tickets' or 'buy tickets'. While the meaning is generally clear, the limited range of vocabulary and the frequent errors in word choice prevent the essay from demonstrating a more sophisticated command of the language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures, but grammatical errors are frequent and sometimes impede clarity. Examples include 'people has become busy their work' (subject-verb agreement and preposition errors) and 'It tend to reduce stress' (subject-verb agreement). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after commas and capitalization errors. While the meaning is usually understandable, the high frequency of basic grammatical errors, particularly with verb forms and prepositions, limits the score in this criterion.
