Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 124 words. Consequently, the task is only partially addressed. While you have identified both views and stated an opinion, the ideas are significantly underdeveloped. The arguments regarding economic and cultural benefits are mentioned but lack the necessary supporting evidence, examples, or depth required for an academic essay. To improve, you must expand each body paragraph with specific examples and logical explanations to ensure the response is fully developed and meets the length requirement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks a clear structure. The paragraphing is problematic, with a very short body paragraph that fails to develop the argument. While there is an attempt to use cohesive devices like 'Although' and 'In conclusion', the logical progression is hindered by the brevity of the text. The transition between the introduction and the body is abrupt, and the lack of sufficient content makes it difficult to follow a coherent argument. You need to organize your ideas into distinct, well-developed paragraphs with clear topic sentences and logical transitions.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The range of vocabulary is limited and repetitive. While you use some relevant terms like 'proliferation', 'entertainment', and 'pivotal', there are errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'curtail role' (likely meaning 'crucial role') and 'benefits to visit theater'. The vocabulary is sufficient for basic communication but lacks the precision and variety expected at higher bands. To improve, focus on learning collocations and using more sophisticated vocabulary in context to express your ideas more accurately.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The text contains several grammatical errors that affect clarity. For example, 'some suggested' should be 'some suggest', and 'not only learn... and also helps' is an incorrect use of the 'not only... but also' structure. There are also punctuation issues, such as the unnecessary comma after 'conclusion'. The sentence structures are mostly simple or contain errors when attempting complexity. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, correct usage of conjunctions, and proofreading for basic punctuation and sentence construction errors.
