Student answer (Band 5.5)
In contemporary society, few individuals contend theatres and cinemas are not imperative because people can watch this movies later on online platforms like Netflix, whereas other people argue that theatres and cinema are still popular and essential based on the culturally and economically. Therefore, both the view's reasons and relevant examples will be discussed in the following paragraphs.
To begin with, watching online movies provides people with sense of happiness and personal space. There are substantial benefits for this view. First and foremost, online watching is convenient and cost-effective. To explain, it allows people to watch their an own pace and also they can watch in leisure time. People cannot spend money on expensive tickets and foods. For instance, most of the people use a Netflix on the ground that they can watch at any time in their a personal space, thus it also maintains privacy.
However, other people opine that theatres and cinemas are crucial and play a significant role. Firstly, cinemas are useful for creating hype of movies and many people influence by social media and advertisement like bill boards and so on thus high number of people buy more tickets and eventually it supports the economic growth. For example, in India, many popular cinema advertisement of movies using online platforms such as Instagram, hence the public motivate to buy tickets. In additions, some history movies help to preserve our culture heritage and also would help in the passing the future generation.
I would argue that, people should go to theatres for watching movies because it can help in preserve our culture and tradition and provide amazing experience compared to online platforms such as quality of sound system and comfortable seats.
To sum up, although many people can watch movie online due to advancements in technology and budget friendly, cinemas provide different experience and crucial for both economically and culturally. I believe that individuals should support cinema and watch movies and spend quality time with loved once.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the convenience of online streaming versus the cultural and economic significance of cinemas. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding cultural heritage is mentioned but not fully explored with specific examples. The position is consistent throughout the essay, but the supporting arguments could benefit from more depth and nuance to reach a higher band. Overall, the task is addressed adequately, but the analysis remains somewhat superficial.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To begin with', 'However', and 'To sum up', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'To explain, it allows people to watch their an own pace'. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. While the paragraphing is appropriate, the use of cohesive devices is not always flexible or natural, which limits the score to a 6.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the student to express their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'contemporary society', 'cost-effective', and 'cultural heritage'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'watch this movies', 'watch their an own pace', and 'public motivate to buy'. These errors do not impede communication, but they demonstrate a lack of precision. To improve, the student should focus on learning common collocations and ensuring correct word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('a Netflix', 'the theatres'), pluralization ('both the view's reasons'), and verb forms ('many people influence by'). Some sentences are slightly ungrammatical, such as 'the public motivate to buy tickets'. While the student attempts complex structures, the control over these is inconsistent. The errors are noticeable and occur throughout the text, though they rarely prevent the reader from understanding the intended message.
