Student answer (Band 5.0)
Numerous individuals say that in the digital generation, theatres and cinemas are no longer significant as people can watch all the entertainment programs they want online. Well ,On the other hand some people argue that theatres and cinemas are still vital both economically and culturally.
Well, I agree with that in the technology and digital age, theaters Moreover cinemas are no longer crucial because now days persons look all the fun programs online through their mobile phone ,laptop, TV in addition tabs. For instance every weekend i guard movies with my friend on NETFLEX also we spent time together ,cook together and discuss other vital topics. In this way we spent our quality time together.
Furthermore, theatres and cinemas still vital for economically and culturally . Due to theatres and cinemas play important in our economy. Sometimes production didn't play their movies on social media apps in this way consumers come to cinemas to watch their favorite movies. As an example last month my cousins visit my home we went out side and do fun activities at night we went to the cinema to look our favorite actor and actress .
Honestly from my perspective, in these days as a result on digital technology theatres not to mention cinemas are no longer substantial because mostly people see all the entertainment through mobile phone on the other apps . Namely Netflex and Youtube .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, but the development is insufficient. The essay fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the depth of the arguments. The points made regarding economic and cultural importance are repetitive and lack specific, well-developed examples. The conclusion is brief and does not effectively synthesize the arguments presented. To improve, you must expand on your ideas with more detailed explanations and ensure you meet the minimum length requirement to allow for a full discussion of the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is often disrupted by awkward phrasing and repetitive transitions. While some cohesive devices are used (e.g., 'Furthermore', 'For instance'), they are sometimes used incorrectly or in a mechanical fashion. The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences is disjointed. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that directly relates to the main argument, rather than relying on simple, repetitive structures.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive, relying on basic terms like 'fun programs' and 'do fun activities'. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'guard movies' instead of 'watch movies' and 'look our favorite actor' instead of 'see our favorite actor'. The use of brand names like 'NETFLEX' (Netflix) is informal and inappropriate for an academic essay. To reach a higher band, you should incorporate more precise, academic vocabulary and collocations related to the topic of media and economics.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'theatres and cinemas still vital'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'production didn't play'), and awkward sentence construction. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and capitalization. While there is an attempt at complex sentences, they are often faulty. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence structures, subject-verb agreement, and consistent verb tense usage before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
