Student answer (Band 5.0)

Many individuals believe as in modern society their is gradual change in digital word all require entertainment is provided online so each individual can watch their favourite programme anytime Whereas some argue theatres and cinema are still play a vital role as economically and culturally.

As far I concerned I believe theatres and cinema are still curial for or economic and culture.

As we all know how the digital word is capturing the place of everything in life. In the old time when it was difficult to make contact with other now as digital word has been shown the significant movement we can contact anyone within seconds. Likewise nowadays when we want to watch our favourite entertainment programme but as we have busy schedule we don’t get time to watch it nevertheless digital world provide it online so we can watch while travelling or in more free time

For taking example I have experienced this personally as I enjoy watching a show named big boss but as I was doing my job I was missing the timing of it so later on whenever I get time I get to watch that show on my mobile phone.

On the other hand when the topic is about theatre and cinema hall where we can see different films on big screen while enjoying our food also with our loved once gives different happiness and as for makers have to plan all the things about releasing and making posters can be costly but also it boost economy

As per my knowledge government earn more then 300 Cr from entertainment which later on can use in public welfare and as we can watch our favourite star or actress on big screen give us another level of happiness and joy. For instance we all know the movie bhaubali cross more than 1000 Cr across world and it was pride movement for our country as it also show our culture. Later on actor parbhas donted some amount in public welfare and flood

Overall I believe both the site are right but Cinema and theatre are essential for economic and culture

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the task. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For example, the economic argument regarding the film 'Baahubali' is a good attempt at support, but the explanation of how cinemas boost the economy is underdeveloped and lacks clarity. The position is clear, but the overall argument could be more sophisticated and better structured to fully explore the cultural and economic implications mentioned in the prompt. The essay tends to rely on personal anecdotes rather than broader, more analytical points.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical flow is often interrupted by awkward phrasing and a lack of effective cohesive devices. Transitions between sentences are frequently missing or mechanical, such as the abrupt shift in the second paragraph. The use of referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the progression of arguments. While there is an attempt to use linking words like 'likewise' and 'nevertheless', they are often used incorrectly or in contexts where they do not logically connect the ideas, which hinders the overall coherence of the response.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'digital word' instead of 'digital world', 'curial' instead of 'crucial', and 'pride movement' instead of 'proud moment'. These errors occasionally impede communication. While the student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'economy' and 'welfare', the range is insufficient to express complex ideas with precision. The reliance on basic vocabulary and the misuse of terms prevent the response from reaching a higher band score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that affect readability. There are persistent issues with subject-verb agreement, article usage, and sentence structure. For instance, 'their is gradual change' should be 'there is a gradual change', and 'as far I concerned' should be 'as far as I am concerned'. The sentence structures are often run-on or fragmented, lacking the control required for higher bands. While there is an attempt at complex sentences, they are frequently faulty, leading to a lack of clarity. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and full stops.
