Student answer (Band 5.5)
Society is divided into altruistic and egocentric mind sets of people. Although some masses hold the viewpoint that few individuals consider that in the digital age , theatres and cinemas are no longer crucial as citizens can watch all the entertainment they want online because of many platform are available online .I believe that the theatres are still vital for economically and culturally holds more importance.
On the one hand, the reason why some masses favour the former statement is because they can easily access it at online. This is due to fact that people can watch it on prime vedio, netflix, chuapal . For instance , a survey conducted by Sensor board department has provided the concrete evidence by highlighting that 40% people enjoyed watching films on their phones. As a result, people can spend time on thier favourite films.
on the other hand, I believe that the latter point of view supporters give the major reason of they can spend time with their family in its favour. As they believe that they can have some time with thier family in busy lifestyle. Another reason to be given by them they can earn income. They give this reason due to they can gain profit by selling tickets and it also helps in creating job opportunities.
To conclude , even though people suppart that the theatres and cinemas are no longer significant for entertainment purpose , I believe that theatres and cinemas are still crucial for entertainment is valuable because of earning money and spending time with family.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both views and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments regarding economic and cultural importance are somewhat superficial and repetitive. For instance, the mention of 'earning money' and 'selling tickets' is mentioned twice without significant expansion or depth. The introduction contains some irrelevant phrasing ('altruistic and egocentric mind sets') that does not contribute to the task. To reach a higher band, you should provide more detailed explanations and specific examples to support your claims rather than simply stating them.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'the reason why some masses favour the former statement is because' are wordy and awkward. There is also a lack of variety in linking words, and some transitions between sentences feel abrupt. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the second body paragraph where the connection between the 'latter point of view' and the specific arguments provided is not smoothly integrated. Improving the flow between sentences would significantly enhance the coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and sophistication. There are several instances of unnatural word choices, such as 'some masses' and 'Sensor board department'. Additionally, there are spelling errors like 'vedio' and 'thier'. The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, relying on basic terms to express ideas. To improve, you should focus on using more academic collocations and ensuring accurate spelling. Expanding your range to include more topic-specific vocabulary related to the film industry or digital media would also be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('many platform are available'), incorrect preposition usage ('access it at online'), and awkward phrasing ('due to they can gain profit'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary spaces before commas. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on sentence construction and proofreading for basic errors would be a good next step.
