Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by acknowledging both views and providing an opinion. However, the development of ideas is weak. While you mention that cinemas are important for 'culture and economically,' you do not provide specific examples or explanations to support this claim. Instead, the essay shifts focus toward abstract concepts like 'morals,' 'discipline,' and 'character,' which are not directly relevant to the core debate about the role of cinemas in the digital age. To improve, you must stay focused on the prompt and provide concrete evidence or logical reasoning regarding the economic and cultural impact of theatres, rather than discussing general human virtues.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay lacks a clear structure. It is written as a single block of text rather than distinct paragraphs for the introduction, body, and conclusion. The progression of ideas is disjointed; for example, the transition from discussing mobile entertainment to the importance of 'morals' and 'discipline' is abrupt and lacks logical connection. Cohesive devices are used sparingly and often incorrectly, such as the repetitive use of 'But' to start sentences. To achieve a higher score, you should organize your essay into clear paragraphs and use a wider variety of linking words to connect your ideas logically.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. You rely on basic words like 'important,' 'good,' and 'things.' There are also issues with word formation and collocation, such as 'make a enjoyable moments' (should be 'have enjoyable moments') and 'cultural in over country' (should be 'culture in our country'). The range is insufficient to express complex ideas clearly. To improve, focus on learning collocations and using more precise academic vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'cinematic experience,' 'digital accessibility,' or 'socio-economic significance.'
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede communication. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('People have phones they can watches movie'), incorrect verb forms ('It build a persons respect'), and sentence fragments ('In my opinion.'). The range of sentence structures is very limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences. To improve, you need to practice basic sentence construction, ensure correct verb tenses, and work on using complex sentence structures, such as relative clauses or conditional sentences, while maintaining accuracy.
