Student answer (Band 5.0)
in this digital age, people prefer to watch entertainment they want online instead of going out for cinemas and theatres. while many argue that physical cinemas and theatres helps economically and culturally. in my opinion, I think that online streaming is more convenient then offline because it has more benefits.
firstly, people who think that going out for watch all entertainments is more likely because going out will help them to jump into a different environment and it will also help someone to earn. for example, if we go on a movie date we usually order food and popcorn or something it will help the food counter employees to earn.
secondly, people who strongly believe that they should watch entertainment things at home is more suitable because they can save money. they can purchase a plan on some apps like Netflix , amazon prime and many more they can watch whatever they want to at any time any where for some perticular period of time. they think if they pay a bit more they have access for apps and able to watch anything they want at any time.
I believe that people should watch movies at home because they can watch it with whole family, there will be no disturbance of any other people. somehow it will also save there many because they have to pay once and are able to watch numerous time.
to conclude, I believe that watching movies at home is more helpful then going outdoor because it has more advantage then the other.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the task by discussing both views: the preference for online streaming and the importance of cinemas and theatres. However, the arguments are underdeveloped and could benefit from more specific examples and clearer reasoning. For instance, while the author mentions that cinemas create economic opportunities, the explanation could delve deeper into how they contribute to local economies beyond just food sales. The conclusion reiterates the author's opinion but lacks a strong summary of the main arguments. Overall, the task achievement seems limited to a Band 5 or 6.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The overall coherence and cohesion of the essay are fairly weak. The paragraphing is inconsistent, with some ideas needing clearer separation into distinct paragraphs. For example, there should be a separate paragraph for each viewpoint discussed. Furthermore, the use of linking phrases is limited, which affects the logical flow of ideas. Phrases like "firstly" and "secondly" are present, but the transitions between points could be more fluid and less abrupt. This could potentially place coherence and cohesion at around Band 5.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The lexical resource displayed is basic, with several instances of imprecise language, such as "help someone to earn" instead of "support employment opportunities". The vocabulary used is often repetitive with phrases like "watch movies" without variation. There are some spelling errors like "perticular" and misuse of articles, which detracts from the overall impression. Such lexical choices suggest a vocabulary band score of around Band 5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
Grammatical accuracy is a significant issue in this response. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement, incorrect verb forms (e.g., "helps economically" should be "help"), and punctuation errors, such as lowercase at the beginning of sentences and missing commas. Some sentences are awkwardly constructed, affecting clarity (e.g., "they can watch whatever they want to at any time any where"). These issues collectively restrict the grammatical range and accuracy to about Band 5.
Overall feedback
This response demonstrates an attempt to engage with the task prompt by discussing both perspectives on entertainment consumption in the digital age. However, the arguments presented lack depth and clarity. To improve, focus on structuring your essay more coherently with clear topic sentences and detailed examples. Each paragraph should contain one main idea along with appropriate supporting arguments. Additionally, enhancing your vocabulary and using more varied sentence structures would strengthen your writing. Regular practice with planning your essays before writing may help significantly.
