Student answer (Band 5.0)
Let's start to talk about the first view of peoples those are saying that in the digital age theaters and cinemas are no longer important we cannot deny this view as it is showing some evidences that peoples love to watch online because now we can easily access dramas and movies in our smart phones. This view is strong because in this era where technology is advanced and we have now better quality of videos and the best thing is that we can watch anywhere at anytime. Peoples who are busy and do not have enough time to visit cinemas and theaters to just watch the movie now they can watch it online whenever they are free or have leisure time.
It is difficult to get time for ourself but this digital things make it possible to watch any movie even if that is old movie.
In other view, peoples who are saying that theaters and cinemas are still important so I will say yes it is important because if we will not have theaters or cinemas that will directly effect to both economically and culturally because if peoples will not go tehre we will have zero socializing.
When people visit to watch movies dramas in cinemas or theaters peoples enjoy quality time with their friends and families and enjoy movies or dramas.
In my opinion, I would say in this digital age we should have cinemas and theaters also those peoples who love to watch online they can watch it online and those who love to go to cinemas and theaters they should have this option as well and it is good to have for both people they can choose whether online or visiting them.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the task by discussing both views regarding the importance of theatres and cinemas in the digital age. The writer provides reasons supporting both perspectives, and they present a clear personal opinion. However, the argument lacks depth and specific examples, which could strengthen the overall discussion. More detailed arguments, supported by examples, would enhance task achievement further.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay has some coherence but suffers from a few issues with cohesion. The transitions between ideas are often abrupt, which can confuse readers. Phrases like "In other view" could be improved for clarity, such as "On the other hand". Connecting sentences and clarifying relationships between ideas would improve coherence and enhance the overall flow of the essay.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The lexical resource is limited, with repetition of simple terms (e.g., "people" and "watch"), which detracts from the sophistication of the response. More varied vocabulary could elevate the essay. There are also instances, such as "the digital things" that could be replaced with more precise language. Expanding the range of vocabulary used would greatly improve clarity and effectiveness.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
Grammatical range and accuracy are areas that require improvement. There are several grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement ('peoples' instead of 'people') and sentence structure issues (e.g., "if we will not have theaters or cinemas that will directly effect to both economically and culturally"). These errors sometimes hinder communication and distract from the message being conveyed.
Overall feedback
Your essay demonstrates a clear understanding of both sides of the argument, showing that you are able to discuss the topic effectively. However, to improve your score, focus on expanding your ideas with specific examples that support your points. Additionally, work on transitioning between ideas more smoothly to enhance coherence. Lastly, try to incorporate a wider range of vocabulary to avoid repetition and improve clarity. This will help you elevate your writing to a higher band.
