Some people argues that in today's technollogy era of life theatres and live watching movies are not such necessary as most people entertain themselves online. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 154 words. This significant under-length results in an underdeveloped response where ideas are not fully explored. While the essay attempts to address both views and provides an opinion, the arguments are superficial and lack the necessary depth and supporting examples required for a higher band. The conclusion is incomplete, ending abruptly mid-sentence. To improve, you must expand your arguments with specific examples and ensure the essay meets the length requirement to allow for a full discussion of the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay shows some attempt at logical organization with an introduction and a body paragraph. However, the progression of ideas is hindered by the incomplete nature of the text. Cohesive devices are used in a very basic and sometimes repetitive manner (e.g., 'Further more', 'Hence'). Paragraphing is present but insufficient due to the lack of a proper conclusion. The flow of ideas is disrupted by the abrupt ending, which makes the overall structure feel unfinished and disjointed.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often inaccurate, which occasionally impedes clarity. There are several spelling errors (e.g., 'technollogy', 'envioronment', 'exicites') and awkward collocations such as 'in the compare of' and 'in require time'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas effectively. To improve, focus on learning correct word forms and collocations, and practice using a wider range of topic-specific vocabulary related to media and economics.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that affect the reader's understanding. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('Some people argues'), article usage, and sentence structure ('i am agree to the second point'). The range of structures is limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences with some errors in basic syntax. Punctuation is also inconsistent. The incomplete final sentence further demonstrates a lack of control over complex grammatical structures. Increased focus on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors is essential.
