Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention that cinemas are important for the economy and culture, you do not explain how or why, leaving these points under-developed. The arguments for the digital age are repetitive, focusing almost exclusively on the convenience of smartphones. To improve, you should provide specific examples, such as the social experience of live theatre or the economic impact of film production, to support your claims more thoroughly.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'In this I well discuss' and 'On my opinion' are awkward transitions. The progression of ideas within paragraphs is sometimes disjointed, particularly in the second paragraph where the link between the internet and the decline of cinemas is stated but not logically expanded. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words would significantly enhance the flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. You frequently use basic phrases like 'entertainment' and 'important' without exploring more precise synonyms. There are also several word-choice errors, such as 'something that is play in the stage' (should be 'plays on stage') and 'riley heavily' (should be 'rely heavily'). The range is sufficient to communicate your basic meaning, but it lacks the flexibility and precision required for higher bands. Expanding your vocabulary to include topic-specific collocations would be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('everyone have', 'everyone have a smartphone'), incorrect verb forms ('is play', 'does not gives'), and sentence structure errors ('Because internet keep each and everything'). While you attempt some complex structures, they are often faulty. To reach a higher band, you need to focus on basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring correct verb tenses and subject-verb agreement, before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
