Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both views and attempting to provide an opinion. However, the development of ideas is uneven. The second paragraph discusses the importance of cinemas and theatres, but the third paragraph shifts focus to general technology and gadgets for disabled people, which is only tangentially related to the prompt. The conclusion is incomplete and fails to clearly state a final opinion or summarize the main arguments. The essay lacks a cohesive argument regarding the economic and cultural importance mentioned in the prompt, leading to an under-developed response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. The transition between the second paragraph (cinemas/theatres) and the third (general technology) is abrupt. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'In conclusion' and 'On the other side', but they are sometimes used incorrectly or mechanically. The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the final paragraph is cut off mid-sentence, which significantly disrupts the flow and coherence of the overall piece.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'pre developed concepts', 'in their way of extinct', and 'consumers are gradually decreases'. While the student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary like '3D concept' and 'natural visualization', the overall range is insufficient to express complex ideas with precision. The errors in collocation and word form occasionally make the reader work harder to understand the intended meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures, but accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement ('technology play', 'consumers are gradually decreases'), article usage, and sentence construction. For example, 'In this growing era, the advancement in digital community over laying most of the pre developed concepts' is grammatically unclear. Punctuation is also problematic, with missing commas and incomplete sentences. These errors are frequent and sometimes impede the clarity of the message.
