Student answer (Band 5.5)

I agree with this line of modernize age we all are interest for cinemas and different web series. In my view all movies are not present in online in free of cost. So citizens go to theatres to enjoy their company.

To begin with, in 22th century all the young and elder ones are now familiar with movies shows and other. So the reputed or demanded movies are not present in amazon prime and like other websites. So that people are show their interest to go theatres. Moreover when one movie is released then suddenly its not be public in some days. If it has flop then it may publish in public, other wise you can not see in free of cost. While online all the new ones are not update and it may takes some time. Somehow more citizens are here they are attend the first batch of movie show, moreover they can post on social media and escalate their views. But in movies we are teach some good quality of ideas and know about our traditional culture.

Secondly, movie hall and cinemas are still play a crucial role for both economically and culturally . When people are come and buy tickets the the revenue will be increased. More tickets sell means more interesting movie. So citizens attract to see new movies on movie hall. Where they can enjoy with there friends, family and others. With a big 3D theatre with good quality sounds . While others like young age people are going with their partner to enjoy their quality time. It can build some ones relationship . In today's all prefer to go movie for strong their bond. So they enjoy with their company with popcorns and little talks. I suggest to build more to more well construct couples place in movie hall, so they can flow in the movie scenes. Also it helps in economically.

In conclusion, theatres are not just for business purpose, it also for relaxing and enjoyment . So , in this busy world people are show their interest for cinemas. For me its a good place to enjoy myself with my partner most of the time.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the argument regarding economic benefits is repetitive and lacks specific examples or depth. The explanation of why people prefer theatres over online streaming is occasionally unclear, such as the point about movies being 'flop' or 'public'. While the task is addressed, the supporting arguments lack the analytical depth required for a higher band. The ideas are relevant but often expressed in a fragmented way, limiting the overall impact of the discussion.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as the repetitive use of 'So' and 'Moreover' at the start of sentences. Referencing is sometimes unclear, particularly in the second paragraph where the connection between 'movie hall' and 'economically' is disjointed. The flow between sentences is frequently interrupted by grammatical errors, which makes the progression of ideas feel somewhat forced rather than natural. Paragraphing is present but the internal logic within paragraphs needs better development.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive, relying on basic terms like 'movies', 'theatres', and 'good'. There are several instances of awkward word choices and incorrect collocations, such as 'modernize age', 'first batch of movie show', and 'couples place'. Some phrases are non-idiomatic, which occasionally hinders the clarity of the message. While the student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary, the range is insufficient to express complex ideas with precision. The errors in word formation and collocation are frequent enough to be noticeable throughout the text.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement ('theatres and cinemas are no longer important', 'people are show their interest'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple or contain errors that make them difficult to parse, such as 'In my view all movies are not present in online in free of cost.' Complex structures are attempted but are rarely error-free, often resulting in confusion. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary spaces before commas and periods. These frequent errors significantly impact the readability of the response.
