Student answer (Band 5.5)
Over the past few decades, the issue of Ott has attracted considerable attention. While some individuals argue that theatres are still important both economically and culturally. others hold a contrasting view. I completely agree with the idea that cinemas are still prominent. This essay will present several arguments to support my viewpoint.
The primary reason why I hold this view is that theaters provide large screen for better viewing of the cinema while online watching allow us limited visibility experience. This is largely due to the fact the sound system plays crucial role in cinema theaters allow us for better surround sound and spatial audio while online supports limited range audio support. For instance, according to a recent report by Indian movie association (IMA), it was found that public visiting the theaters increased enormously after the covid19. they are also mentioned in this report public mainly enjoying the 3d experience of the movie for example recently released spider man movie thus it clearly reinforces the idea that theatres are still important for better experience.
Another compelling reason in favor of my stance is that audience in theaters plays significant role. This suggests that viewing cinema with audience provides more energy and better experience for example recently movie called Pedi is released in India the people are shouting around me while the entry of hero it provides boost to the audience and the laughing's during the comedy scenes hits different watching movies in online alone or with family does not provide this type of experience.
In conclusion, I firmly maintain that theaters and cinemas are crucial for both culturally and economically. This is primarily because of audience in the movie theaters and also the experience that cannot match through the online watching. for the better experience i suggest watching movies in theaters only.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal position. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention economic and cultural importance in the prompt, your body paragraphs focus almost exclusively on the 'experience' of watching movies, neglecting the economic aspect entirely. The supporting examples, such as the reference to the 'Indian movie association' and the film 'Pedi', are relevant but could be more effectively integrated to support the broader economic and cultural arguments. To improve, ensure that each part of the prompt is addressed with equal depth and that your supporting evidence directly links back to the specific points raised in the introduction.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'The primary reason' and 'Another compelling reason', which help guide the reader. However, the use of linking words is sometimes mechanical or repetitive. Additionally, there are issues with punctuation and sentence boundaries, such as the run-on sentence in the second paragraph: '...covid19. they are also mentioned in this report public mainly enjoying...'. Improving the variety of cohesive devices and ensuring proper sentence punctuation would significantly enhance the flow and clarity of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'contrasting view', 'compelling reason', and 'spatial audio'. However, there are instances of imprecise word choice and awkward phrasing, such as 'Ott' (which should be OTT platforms), 'online watching', and 'the laughing's'. Some collocations are also unnatural, such as 'online supports limited range audio support'. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensuring that your word choices are natural and contextually appropriate for a formal essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly regarding article usage ('the theaters', 'the entry of hero'), subject-verb agreement, and sentence fragments. For example, '...theaters allow us for better surround sound' is grammatically incorrect. There are also issues with capitalization and punctuation, such as starting sentences with lowercase letters. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring subject-verb agreement, and proofreading for punctuation errors that disrupt the readability of your work.
