Student answer (Band 5.5)
A number of people think that in the era of internet there is no more need of theaters and cinemas because people watch all things of joy from internet. But other argue that theaters and cinemas are still important for both economically or culturally in this essay. I will discuss both these point of views and also give my opinion about these views .
firstly, i discuss the first view in which people argue that theaters have no longer importance due to internet the primary reason is that people have no free time to go specially to theaters they watch all the things form internet in their free time . because day by day life become to busy.they thing that instead of getting tickets and then go for watching movies is their wastage of time .
On the other side some people think that theaters are still important for both economically and culturally because some free people has a craze to see movie in theater and to go to spend their time in enjoyment in this era people go with their families to watch movie furthermore with their friends for enjoyment and to continue as a culture .
In my opinion i agree with the first point of view because it save our time instead of going their watch on internet because life become busy no one have free time to go and watch entertainments in cinemas .
In conclusion, in this essay i discuss both views first watch entertainment like movies, stage shows on internet is better then watching these things in theaters due to busy life on other hand some said that cinemas are still important for economically or culturally it is for free peoples and for enjoyment with family . my opinion is that first idea is better instead of second because it save time .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments regarding the 'busy life' and 'economic/cultural importance' are repetitive and lack specific examples or depth. The essay relies on general assertions rather than exploring the nuances of the topic. While the task requirements are met, the lack of detailed support and the somewhat simplistic nature of the arguments prevent it from reaching a higher band. To improve, you should aim to expand on your points with concrete examples, such as the impact of streaming services on local film industries or the unique social experience of a cinema visit.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes inaccurate. For example, the transition 'In my opinion i agree with the first point of view' is functional but lacks sophistication. There is a lack of variety in linking words, and some sentences feel disjointed due to poor punctuation and run-on structures. The progression of ideas is present but feels repetitive, particularly in the conclusion, which simply restates the introduction without adding synthesis. Improving the use of transition signals and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would enhance the flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but remains quite basic and repetitive. Phrases like 'watch all things of joy' and 'no more need' are imprecise. There is an attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary, such as 'economically' and 'culturally', but these are used in a repetitive manner. The range is limited, and there are noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'free people has a craze to see movie'. To reach a higher band, you should focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and collocations, and avoid repeating the same phrases throughout the essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent errors in basic grammar, including subject-verb agreement ('life become to busy', 'no one have free time'), article usage, and punctuation. Many sentences are run-on or lack proper capitalization, which makes the text harder to read. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of grammatical errors limits the score. You should focus on proofreading for basic errors, particularly verb tenses and subject-verb agreement, and practice using more complex sentence structures with greater control.
