Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The essay addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention economic and cultural aspects, the explanation remains superficial. For instance, the link between 'Ramair' and modern cinema is unclear and lacks sufficient detail to be persuasive. To improve, ensure that each supporting point is fully explained with a clear example that directly relates to the argument. Your position is clear in the introduction and conclusion, but the body paragraphs could benefit from more depth to reach a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'On the one hand,' 'On the other hand,' and 'Furthermore,' which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is slightly disrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'For that they go to watch movies at theaters, it gives them a suitable environment.' Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that sentences within paragraphs are more tightly connected would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'rejuvenate,' 'indispensable,' and 'cultural heritage.' However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'proponents are argue,' 'comfortable zone' (instead of 'comfort zone'), and 'sences of movies.' Additionally, some phrasing is repetitive. To achieve a higher score, focus on using more precise collocations and avoiding word-choice errors that occasionally make the text sound unnatural. Expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary related to media and economics would also be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('proponents are argue,' 'theaters and cinemas still crucial'), missing articles, and awkward sentence construction ('In a recent period technology has been revolutionized'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent enough to affect the clarity of your writing. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, particularly verb forms and sentence structure, and try to incorporate more complex structures with greater precision.
