Some people say that in the digital age, theatres and cinemas are no longer important as people can watch all the entertainment they want online. Others argue that theatres and cinemas are still important both economically and culturally.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
As per my opinion, If we talk about today' era yes it is true most of the entertainment activities such as theatres and cinemas transform into the OTT platforms like Netflix, Disney Hotstar, Tapmad etc.
Their is a debate theatres and cinemas their own experience and legacy that no one replaced them, Yes it is true but as per my thoughts people are evolving with the time and they are more tech-savvy as they are before they want to save their time and feel more comfortable by watching the movies online or on OTT platform that is why more series are launching nowadays to entertain people.
Especially genz are more used to enjoy OTT platforms as compare to enjoy physically in cinemas and in theatres, but still their are millineals who love to watch the movies in cinemas and love to watch the theatres shows and recall their nostalgia
