Student answer (Band 5.5)
People argue that in the current era people can watch movies and other entertainment stuff online so they no longer need to go to cinemas and theaters, while some says that it is beneficial for economy and for cultural purposes to go into cinemas and theaters.
In today's world many people prefer to watch movies online at their preferable time because going to theaters and cinemas are no longer necessary for entertainment. In modern age there are so many things present for amusement online, people can watch them on one click according to their time. So they says that using old sources for entertainment are no longer necessary.
How ever some people thinks that cinemas and theaters are still important for economy and culturally because they going out for some time for yourself can boost your mood and freshen your mind. It can be a good source for the interaction with people and making friend with same choice taste of amusement.
Staying isolated for the longer period of time can have negative impact on mind.
Cinemas and theaters can contribute in the economy and can give employment to many people who are associated with entertainment world.
In my opinion, I firmly believes that cinemas and theaters are no longer necessary because there are so many online options are present like Netflix and Amazon prime like applications where you can watch all the entertainment according to your preference and time. You do not have to wait for the specific time and you will miss anything if you are late.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention economic and cultural benefits, these points are not fully extended with specific examples or deep analysis. The argument for online entertainment is repetitive, focusing primarily on convenience. To improve, you should provide more concrete evidence or logical reasoning to support your claims, such as discussing how local cinemas support small businesses or how the social experience of a theater differs from solitary home viewing. The position is consistent, but the depth of discussion is insufficient for a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite mechanical and sometimes inaccurate. For example, 'How ever' is used incorrectly as a transition, and the connection between sentences is often abrupt. There is a lack of variety in linking words, and some sentences feel disjointed. To improve, focus on using a wider range of cohesive devices (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in contrast') and ensure that the logical flow between sentences is smoother and more natural.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'entertainment stuff', 'things', and 'good source'. There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'making friend with same choice taste of amusement'. To achieve a higher score, you should aim to use more sophisticated vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'cinematic experience', 'socio-economic impact', or 'digital streaming platforms', and avoid informal phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'some says', 'people thinks', 'I firmly believes') and article usage. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often marred by errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. The sentence structures are relatively simple, and the punctuation is inconsistent. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and proofreading for common errors like missing articles or incorrect verb forms. Increasing the variety of complex sentence structures while maintaining accuracy is essential.
