Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, some people believe that in the digital age, theaters and cinemas are no longer because of people watch all the entertainment through online while, others think that cinemas and theaters are still significant because of both are economically and culturally necessary.
On the one hand, people think that theaters and cinemas are no longer because in this digital era people using technology for better experience and watching online is convenient. people can spend time with their families at home, and they can watch those stories at home on big television screen.
For example, people do not want stand in the crowded line to purchase the cinema tickets.
On the other hand, some people think that cinemas and theaters are essential for economically and culturally because in previous years cinemas and theaters play important role to telecast the stories, it demonstrates on the high screen, and people enjoy together in front of the screen, buying tickets support economically. For instance, previous days people gather in one place to watch the movies with families and spend a quality of time together.
To conclude, in my view both arguments are right because, in digital era people do not want to go crowed place and they don't need to waste their time, but at old age time the technology was not developed that's few people think that it's a culture to watch cinemas at theaters and about economic matter it does not effect because watching through online also made a successful and they should good amount of money.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the task. However, the development of ideas is limited. For example, the argument regarding economic impact is vague, stating only that 'buying tickets support economically' without explaining how this sustains the industry. The conclusion is somewhat confused, as it attempts to balance the views but fails to clearly articulate a personal stance, instead offering a muddled summary. To improve, you should provide more specific, well-reasoned examples and ensure your opinion is clearly stated and consistently supported throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand' are used correctly, but the transitions between sentences within paragraphs are often abrupt. For instance, the jump from discussing technology to 'people do not want stand in the crowded line' lacks a smooth logical bridge. Additionally, referencing is sometimes unclear, such as the use of 'it' in the final paragraph, which makes the argument difficult to follow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There is frequent repetition of basic words like 'people', 'cinemas', 'theaters', and 'watch'. Some word choices are unnatural, such as 'telecast the stories' or 'at old age time', which indicates a lack of familiarity with idiomatic collocations. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more varied vocabulary, such as 'cinematic experience', 'digital streaming platforms', or 'cultural heritage', and focus on using words in their correct context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Examples include 'theaters and cinemas are no longer because of people watch' (missing verb/incorrect clause structure) and 'it does not effect' (confusing 'effect' with 'affect'). Subject-verb agreement and article usage are inconsistent throughout the text. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic sentence construction prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on sentence variety and proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy is essential.
