Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent era, public believe that with the growing technological period, theatres and cinemas are irrelevant as compared to online streams. Whereas, rest argue that entertainment areas are yet preferred and acknowledged. I opine, the argument for the less attention given to entertainment areas is a strong point.
To commence with, people now-a-days stream all the entertainment programmes through various applications applications which help them watch all different genres at home with only paying minimal amount per month. While, it attracts more number of people and let them enjoy it while they do other work as well, which becomes easy for one to comfortably enjoy the program. For intense, according to an article today's kids manage all their entertainment stuff at home through applications like netflix, prime video and other multiple apps while doing their own work.
On the other hand, theatres and cinemas are considered to be one of the most preferred hangout spots in near decades. People believe it as the important part of economical and cultural progress that has not only helped people enjoying their beloved movies but also it has made people culturally known as history. To examplify, in recent survey it was conclude that apart from the generation-z more people still believe that cinemas are important for everyone.
To conclude with, people watching the shows at home is more convinient and free of cost whereas people watching in cinemas can cause disturbance and more expensive. In my opinion, I strongly believe that watches shows at home is more preferrable then going to theatres which is costly and consumes more time.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the argument regarding the economic and cultural importance of cinemas is mentioned but not sufficiently explained or supported with concrete examples. The term 'generation-z' is used vaguely, and the supporting evidence lacks depth. While the position is consistent, the essay would benefit from more detailed analysis of the cultural impact of cinemas to reach a higher band. The conclusion effectively summarizes the main points, but the supporting arguments in the body paragraphs remain underdeveloped.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To commence with', 'On the other hand', and 'To conclude with', though some transitions feel a bit mechanical. There are instances where the flow is slightly hindered by awkward phrasing, such as 'In recent era' or 'To examplify'. Referencing is generally clear, but the connection between sentences could be smoother to improve the overall progression of ideas. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different viewpoints.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks sophistication. There are several instances of imprecise word choice or non-standard collocations, such as 'entertainment stuff', 'culturally known as history', and 'watches shows at home'. While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'economical and cultural progress', the overall range is limited. Spelling errors, such as 'convinient' and 'preferrable', and the repetition of the word 'applications' in the second paragraph, indicate a need for a broader and more accurate range of vocabulary to convey ideas with greater precision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader's understanding. Examples include 'In recent era, public believe' (missing articles), 'it has made people culturally known as history' (awkward syntax), and 'watches shows at home is more preferrable' (subject-verb agreement and word form errors). Punctuation is generally functional, but the frequency of errors in basic grammar—such as article usage and verb forms—prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. More attention to proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy is required.
