Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, many individuals have their own thought that in the digital age, theatres and cinemas are not much important than the enjoyment they want from online platforms because of the social medias and streaming services like YouTube and Netflix is the much for entertainment platform, but some others argue that cinemas are still value-able both economically and culturally because it preserve the culture and jobs creation. In my opinion, this both way statements are important in their own place.
The primary factor of digital age is social medias which is more important than theatres because in social media there are a lot of way from where we can find a enjoyment and also we can watch easily, and nowadays, most of the people preferred that online platform because it doesn't feel bore than went to cinemas. But, in another side, cinemas preserve the culture by showing traditional and host festivals events in there that helps to promote it and youngsters can also know about culture properly.
The another factor of AI era is streaming services like YouTube and Netflix. Many people find easy it easy to use to search whatever they want to watch like movies, news and other entertainment things. However, theatres is still important economically by the jobs creation because many individuals could get a job there in the role of cleaner, selling tickets, and manager, etc. For instance, in developing countries it is merits for there citizens to be employ rather then being unemployed.
In conclusion, I believe that both digital, and cinemas and theatres are important in there own places by streaming services and jobs creation.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both views and providing an opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the argument regarding cinemas preserving culture is mentioned but not sufficiently explained or supported with concrete examples. The opinion provided in the introduction is slightly vague ('this both way statements are important in their own place'), and while the conclusion attempts to reiterate this, the position could be more clearly articulated throughout the essay. To improve, ensure that each body paragraph provides a deeper analysis of the points raised rather than listing them briefly.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive. Phrases like 'The primary factor of' and 'The another factor of' are used to transition between paragraphs, which feels somewhat formulaic. Additionally, there are instances where referencing is unclear, such as 'it is merits for there citizens', where the pronoun 'it' lacks a clear antecedent. While the progression of ideas is generally easy to follow, the lack of sophisticated linking words limits the flow of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'not much important than', 'doesn't feel bore', and 'jobs creation'. The student relies on basic vocabulary and struggles with word forms, such as using 'value-able' instead of 'valuable' and 'merits' instead of 'meritorious' or 'beneficial'. To achieve a higher score, the student should focus on learning collocations and using more precise academic vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('social medias... is'), incorrect article usage, and persistent errors with pluralization and prepositions (e.g., 'in there own places'). The sentence structure is often repetitive, and the misuse of 'there' instead of 'their' is a recurring error. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the high frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band score.
