Student answer (Band 5.0)

Some community think that in the social age ,theatres and movie watching points are no longer essential as the youth can watch all the entertainment they want online on mobile phones, laptops etc.Other thought that theatres and cinemas are still essential both economically and culturally.

Firstly, Using social media is very needful and essential for all of the youth living in the world. It provides them a lot of experience, knowledge and also good manners which he can't find by the people. But some people thought that it can damage the life of a person.

In my opinion, these things are most important and very needful for all of us because we feel relax by doing this and watching movies in cinemas made us happy. It can remove our brain stress and give us a lot of happiness. Its is very favourite point of child and feel them happy. For Example, Child watch cartoons which feel them happy and remove their sadness.Cinemas are still important both economically and culturally.

In this paragraph, I would tell that we should rebuilt and get some changes in the cinemas and all adventure points because theses are the few points which are a really and big source of joy for all of us.For Example, A men works all the day in his office and feel bore after get at home. So, theses cinemas and theatres are few points which feel him happy and the men get relax after moving to the cinemas. So, these are still important for us and also we need to make changes in it and work for the construction of it.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both views mentioned in the prompt, but the development of ideas is limited and often repetitive. While you state your opinion, the arguments provided—such as 'watching movies makes us happy'—are simplistic and lack the depth required for an academic essay. The discussion regarding the economic and cultural importance of cinemas is mentioned but not explored with specific examples or logical reasoning. To improve, you should focus on providing more detailed explanations and relevant evidence for each viewpoint, ensuring that your arguments are fully developed rather than just stated.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the logical progression of ideas is weak. Transitions between sentences and paragraphs are often mechanical or missing, such as the abrupt shift in the second paragraph. The use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes inaccurate, making the flow of the argument feel disjointed. To achieve a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in contrast') to connect your ideas more naturally and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive, relying heavily on simple words like 'important', 'needful', and 'happy'. There are several instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'movie watching points' instead of 'cinemas' and 'adventure points'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas precisely. To improve, try to incorporate more academic collocations and topic-specific vocabulary related to media, culture, and economics. Avoid using informal or non-standard phrasing to ensure your writing sounds more professional and precise.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Child watch', 'men works'), incorrect verb tenses, and awkward sentence structures. The range of grammatical structures is limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences. To improve, you should practice using a mix of complex and compound sentences and pay closer attention to basic rules like pluralization and verb conjugation. Proofreading your work for these common errors will significantly improve the clarity and quality of your writing.
