Student answer (Band 5.0)

In my opinion, both views are correct, we can watch all the entertainment online on different platforms. These different flatforms provide all the movies and series we want to watch. Both views has their own importances.

The online platforms provide all the data. I think watching online is much better because the process is without any cost everything you wanna watch is free. On the other hand, it also has some disadvantages, exessive screen time is detriment to health. It weakens the ability of the eyes. I think, also it disturbs healthy routine. In the modern era, its true that theatres and cinemas are no longer important because everything is digitilized, Its not neccesery to go outdoor. everything can be done at home trough online.

On the other hand, those argues that theatres and cinemas are still important. In their point of view, they usually not enjoy watching at because of the environment and sorrounding. They delitie the moment at cinema they really adores the experience. Furthermore, it is a costly experience but it does not irritate them. Futher, it is also the way of making money. In this digital age, Poeple are still earning through cinemas and theaters. They chose this path.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 203 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas, as the arguments remain superficial and lack sufficient supporting examples. While the essay attempts to address both views and provide an opinion, the discussion is underdeveloped. The position is stated in the introduction but is not consistently maintained or explored with the depth required for a higher band. To improve, you must expand your arguments with specific examples and ensure you meet the length requirement to allow for a full exploration of the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. Transitions between ideas are often abrupt or missing, such as the sudden shift between the benefits of online platforms and the mention of health disadvantages. Cohesive devices are used in a very mechanical way (e.g., 'On the other hand', 'Furthermore'), and some sentences are disjointed, making the flow of the argument difficult to follow. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that connects logically to the previous one.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, relying on basic terms like 'important', 'everything', and 'online'. There are several instances of incorrect word choice and spelling errors, such as 'flatforms', 'exessive', 'detriment to health' (should be 'detrimental to health'), 'digitilized', and 'delitie'. These errors occasionally hinder the clarity of your message. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise academic vocabulary and collocations, and pay closer attention to spelling and word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'Both views has their own importances'), punctuation errors, and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'those argues that theatres'). The lack of complex sentence structures limits your ability to express sophisticated ideas. To improve, practice using a mix of complex and compound sentences, and focus on correcting basic errors in verb tense and subject-verb agreement. Proofreading for common slips will also help improve the overall accuracy of your writing.
