Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention economic and cultural benefits, the points are brief and lack specific, well-explained examples. For instance, the mention of 'taxation' and 'employment' is a good start, but it is not fully expanded to explain how this impacts the broader economy. To reach a higher band, ensure that each main idea is supported by a clear explanation or a more detailed example. The position is consistent, but the overall depth of the argument could be improved to better meet the requirements of a Band 6.0 or 7.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the argument. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'Furthermore'. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Resulting people prefer' or 'there who are running the best importance'. The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would help elevate the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'entertainment facilities', 'subscription plans', and 'employment opportunities'. However, there are instances of imprecise word choice and awkward phrasing, such as 'growing individuals' instead of 'many people' and 'revising their film' instead of 'releasing their films'. There is also some repetition of basic vocabulary. To improve, try to incorporate more precise collocations and avoid using informal or incorrect phrasing that hinders the professional tone of an academic essay.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('every one have', 'government put taxation'), incorrect preposition usage, and awkward sentence construction ('there who are running the best importance'). While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and ensuring that your complex sentences are constructed with correct relative clauses and conjunctions.
