Student answer (Band 5.5)
some argue that in the digital era individuals can entertaint through internet so the theatres and cinemas are not much significant while others belive that theatres and cinemas have a vital role economically and traditionally. In my opinion i support the former view
It is belived by many people that theatres and cinemas are not have singificance because people can entertain by internet. One major reason is that online entertainment is more conveniant rather then theatres and cinemas.By using internet people can watch any types of entertainment videos, movies, dramas in their device. As a result they don't need to go anywhere for entertainment. For example, people nowadays enjoy their favorite movie and series on Netflix which is a online streming service provider. Consequently for a new movie people don't go to any cinemas or theatres they watch it instantly in home.
On the contraty, numerous individuals contend that theatres and cinemas has still valus economically and culturally. This is probably because these create numerous job opportunities as well as they promote local culture and allow to people learn about their traditions and history. In theatres and cinemas need a plenty of employees for maintainig and providing service to customers as well as these theatres and cinemas can show the tradition of the county. For intance, in Star cineplex works a huge amount of individuals as well as this cineplex hold the traditions.
From my prespective, cinemas and theatres have no value to people rather then it's economical and cultural value.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both views and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention economic and cultural benefits, the explanations are repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the argument about 'job opportunities' is mentioned but not fully explored with specific, convincing detail. Your position is stated clearly in the introduction, but the conclusion is very brief and does not effectively synthesize the arguments presented. To improve, ensure that each body paragraph provides a more thorough analysis and a clear link back to the prompt's core question.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices such as 'consequently', 'for example', and 'on the contrary'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as 'rather then' instead of 'rather than'. The progression of ideas within paragraphs is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing, which makes the flow feel a bit disjointed. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that your referencing (e.g., 'these', 'it') clearly points back to the intended noun.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it is quite limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic terms like 'entertainment', 'people', and 'theatres'. There are also several word-choice errors, such as 'entertaint' (entertain), 'traditionally' (cultural/traditional), and 'streeming' (streaming). These errors, along with the reliance on simple vocabulary, limit your ability to express more nuanced ideas. To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to the film industry and digital media, and pay closer attention to word forms and spelling.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'cinemas has still valus'), incorrect preposition usage, and missing articles. For example, 'in home' should be 'at home', and 'a huge amount of individuals' is better phrased as 'a large number of people'. While these errors do not completely prevent understanding, they are frequent enough to distract the reader. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement will significantly improve your score.
