Student answer (Band 5.0)
Many people say that in the digital age, theatres and cinemas are no longer important as people can watch all the entertainment they want online. while some others people argue that theatres and cinemas are still important both economically and culturally. This easy will discuss both views and my opinion are in digital time best option people can watch all the entertainment online.
First, my personal opinion are people watch all the movies and series online beacuse this method people save the more time and watch moves any time not going special area where they have theatres and cinemas. In modern time any person they leave rural areas can watch entertainment easly. For instance, my friend leave a rural area where they have not any cinemas or theatres. so they watch movie come to big city but now digital age they can watch easly on home not special come for city to watch movie.
Others people argue that thetres and cinemas are still important both economically and culturally they are right, because if people are not come in theatres and cinemas the film industry not earn the money and badly affect economically Another argue the people lost the culture are right argu because people are spend a time together and not give personal opinion related to film.
In conclusion, both party opinion are right on place. So they movies industries make a policy which person watch movie online and who person watch movie theaters they can watch according to choice. This way theaters can also earn.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides an opinion, but the development is limited. The ideas are presented in a repetitive manner, and the supporting arguments lack depth. For instance, the argument regarding economic impact is mentioned but not clearly explained, and the cultural aspect is barely touched upon. The position is clear, but the overall response feels underdeveloped and lacks the necessary complexity expected for an academic task. The conclusion attempts to offer a balanced view, but it does not fully synthesize the points raised in the body paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. Cohesive devices are used in a very mechanical and sometimes incorrect way, such as 'Another argue the people lost the culture'. The referencing is often unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of ideas. While there is an attempt to use transition words like 'First' and 'In conclusion', the lack of sophisticated linking between sentences and within paragraphs hinders the overall coherence of the piece.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, relying on basic terms like 'people', 'watch', and 'important'. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'digital time' instead of 'digital age' and 'special area' instead of 'specific location'. The student struggles to use less common lexical items, and the errors occasionally cause some difficulty for the reader in understanding the intended meaning. To improve, the student needs to focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and improving their grasp of collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('my personal opinion are'), missing articles, and incorrect verb tenses ('people are spend a time'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with run-on sentences and missing commas. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors and the lack of complex structures significantly limit the score. The student needs to work on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common grammatical slips.
