Student answer (Band 5.5)

Now a days the online platform increase day by day and it also used by many people. Some people belives that the digital platform is only important for antertaiment. while second group belives that theatres and cinemas are also important in antertaiment industry to earn money and to spred a culture. My personal oppinion is that both are equally important because they have their own cons and prons.

To begins with the online platform carries more convineancy and flexibility for viewers. For example, people can see their favouright movie rather it old or new on their cinviniancy. to add on the apps need subscription so on that way the producer earn mony of the perticuler movie or serious. Moreover now a days people have very busy schidul so some of them can not able to get time to sit continew and watch movie so this type of platform give them conviniancy.

In contras, the theaters and cinemas are also very important because they are the places where people can go for cill with friends and get brake from their busy life. Add more, the theatres movie earn grater then other because the have pramotion and very big cast behind it. As instangt, the one movie give earning different people like cast, advertiser, theaters owner, and caffe and restorant which are located in cinemas.

To conclude, the online platform give flexibility and conviniancy in other side cinemas are get more earning so we can watch both if we need brake or spand caulity time with some one out of home we can prefer theaters and if we need our own comfert place we can watch movie on differen apps.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion in the introduction. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention economic benefits for cinemas, the explanation is repetitive and lacks depth. The points regarding online platforms are relevant but could be expanded with more specific examples or analysis of the cultural impact mentioned in the prompt. To reach a higher band, ensure that each body paragraph fully explores the implications of the arguments rather than just stating them. The conclusion effectively summarizes your position, but the overall development remains at a basic level.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'Add more' and 'As instangt' are used incorrectly to transition between ideas. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the flow between sentences can feel disjointed. While there is an attempt to use linking words, they are not always used with the flexibility required for higher bands. Improving the variety and accuracy of your transition signals will significantly enhance the logical flow of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, often relying on basic terms like 'important' and 'good'. There are frequent spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'antertaiment', 'spred', 'oppinion', 'convineancy', 'favouright', 'mony', 'schidul', and 'cill'. These errors sometimes make the text difficult to read. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary (e.g., 'subscription', 'advertiser'), the range is insufficient to express complex ideas precisely. To improve, focus on learning the correct spelling of common academic words and expanding your vocabulary to include more precise synonyms for general terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('platform increase', 'people belives'), incorrect word forms ('conviniancy' instead of 'convenience'), and missing articles or prepositions. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with sentence boundaries. While you attempt to use complex sentences, they are often faulty, which limits your score in this criterion. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement and pluralization would be a great starting point for improvement.
