Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this technological era many people believe that cinemas and theatres are no longer necessary as everything is available online while others argue that they plays a pivotal role in the development of country tradition and economy. I believe that they are not necessary important as it takes a specific time for the entertaining purpose.
On the one hand people who argue that cinemas and theatres are no longer required for entertainment purpose their believe that they demands a proper time and fixed schedule for the entertainment. Now everything is available online as well as it does not demands any particular time for that. So there is no need for such entertainment places. For instance if the individual has to watch a specific movie so they have to arrange a proper time as it's a time demanding and after that if the person get late and not able to manage to be their on time then sometimes they might have to skip the beginning of the movie. Therefore it is much better to stay at the comfort zone and watch any movie at their own ease and no need of any time boundary.
On the other hand cinemas and theatres plays a crucial role for the cultural development and economic growth of the country. They gathered a vast majority that enhances the cultural demand. Sitting in a same place to interact with various people often describes the criteria of a culture while ticket selling produce a higher revenue in the country's economy. Thus, they are undeniably important for the development of the country growth.
In my opinion, everyone has a busy schedule and no body has enough time to fulfill the criteria of specific time. So watching online is a higher demanding medium because no there is no restriction of time. For instance if a pupil has to watch any movie then their is no requirement of time table whenever they have a leisure they can watch by skipping or pausing the video.
In conclusion cinemas and theatres are crucially for the proliferation of country value for the higher revenue but they are time restricted and demands a schedules to follow.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive, particularly in the body paragraphs and the conclusion, where the same points about 'time constraints' are restated. While the position is clear, the arguments could be more nuanced; for instance, the economic and cultural importance of cinemas is mentioned but not fully explored with specific examples. The essay meets the requirements of the prompt, but the depth of analysis is limited, keeping it at a Band 6 level.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Now everything is available online as well as it does not demands'. Additionally, referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences can be repetitive. The paragraphing is appropriate, but the overall progression of ideas could be smoother to reach a higher band.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. There is frequent repetition of basic terms like 'entertainment', 'time', and 'movie'. Some word choices are imprecise or non-standard, such as 'proliferation of country value' or 'criteria of a culture'. While the meaning is clear, the range of vocabulary is limited, and there is little evidence of less common lexical items or sophisticated collocations. To improve, you should focus on using more varied synonyms and academic phrases to express your ideas more precisely.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'cinemas and theatres plays', 'it does not demands'), article usage, and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'no there is no restriction'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent throughout the text. A wider range of error-free complex structures is needed to achieve a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for basic agreement and tense consistency would be highly beneficial.
