Many people argue that cinema and theatres are no longer in trend due to entrance of digital media and free entertainment that it provides online. However, i agree with others that say it helps our economy and culture.
Today digital media has become very advance and mode of online content are unlimited. Many social media platforms like Facebook, Tik Toc and Instagram provide easy access to entertainment and consume most of our daily time working individuals when get back home rest and start scrolling over reels that provide fast and short entertainment which has become popular. Additionally, platforms like Netflix has made easy for families to get access to watch movies from comfort of their home.
However, this rapid influence of digital media has caused theater and cinemas popularity to plummet. People that used to go watch movies with their friends no longer consider to wait in line for movie tickets and have moved towards fast entertainment means. These cinemas can actually the ones that help grow economy of a country; Furthermore, motivate talented directors to create high budget movies. If people do not bother to go to cinemas these movies would not earn enough revenue. In many countries today how a film performed is based on the outcome of how many people went to theatre to watch that movie. In Pakistan cinema had a great influence and a lot of revenue was generated through Pakistani movies as these were also viewed by Indians and many Lollywood songs have also been copied by Bollywood of India. But today only a few film are created that show our culture world wide because they do not earn enough money which was spent over its making.
In conclusion, digital media has revolutionized the entertainment industry and have given easy access to every sort of content. On the other hand due to this advancement people do not consider anymore going to watch movie in a theatre that would benefit economy and help film to promote culture

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the economic impact of cinemas is discussed, the cultural aspect is mentioned but not fully explored or supported with sufficient depth. The argument regarding the decline of cinema is clear, but the link between digital media and the specific economic benefits of theatres could be more robustly explained. The conclusion is a bit abrupt and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented in the body paragraphs, which limits the overall impact of the position.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'However', 'Additionally', and 'Furthermore', though some transitions feel slightly mechanical. The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the referencing is occasionally weak, such as in the sentence 'These cinemas can actually the ones that help grow economy', where the grammatical structure disrupts the flow. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the introduction, body, and conclusion, which helps the reader follow the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express ideas clearly. There are attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'digital media', 'revenue', and 'revolutionized'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'no longer in trend' instead of 'no longer trendy' or 'no longer popular', and 'mode of online content' instead of 'types of online content'. The range is sufficient to communicate, but lacks the precision and flexibility required for a higher band score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, including missing articles ('help grow economy of a country'), subject-verb agreement issues ('digital media... have given'), and awkward phrasing ('These cinemas can actually the ones that help'). While these errors are frequent, they do not generally impede communication. To improve, the student should focus on article usage, consistent verb tense, and ensuring that complex sentences are constructed with greater accuracy.
