Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 163 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you introduce both views, the discussion is extremely brief and lacks the depth required for an academic essay. The second viewpoint is barely touched upon, and your own opinion is not clearly articulated or supported throughout the essay. To improve, you must expand on your arguments with specific examples and ensure that all parts of the prompt—discussing both views and providing a clear, sustained opinion—are fully developed. The current length prevents a thorough exploration of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into short paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is hindered by the lack of content. You use some cohesive devices like 'Moreover' and 'Analysing the latte view', but the overall structure feels fragmented due to the incomplete nature of the response. The introduction is somewhat confusing, particularly the phrase 'Therefore a head my opinion', which lacks clarity. To improve, focus on using a wider range of linking words to connect your ideas more fluidly and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that contributes to the overall argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for basic communication but lacks the range and precision expected at higher levels. There are several errors in word choice and form, such as 'online steaming platforms' (should be 'streaming'), 'monthly free' (should be 'fee'), and 'latte view' (should be 'latter'). These errors occasionally distract the reader. To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'cultural significance', 'economic impact', or 'technological advancements', and pay closer attention to spelling and word forms to ensure accuracy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that affect clarity. Examples include 'other argue that theaters and cinemas have significant role' (missing articles), 'both the view are discussed' (subject-verb agreement), and 'was cinematic experience' (incorrect tense/verb usage). These errors are noticeable and sometimes impede the flow of your writing. To improve, focus on basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles. Practicing complex sentence structures while ensuring they remain error-free will also help raise your score.
