Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this high technology era people prefer staying home rather than going out to get an escape from their busy and hectic schedules. Some people think getting entertainment at home is much easier and less time consuming than going out. However, others argue that visiting cinemas or theatres is worth it to keep up with increasing economy and to remain stick to the culture. This essay will discuss both views and my perspective in the end.
Firstly, nowadays peoples life has become a mess because of the higher inflation rate they have to work more hours than people in the past. So, they usually try to spend most of their free time at home as they can save money and energy that they will spend visiting somewhere for entertainment. For instance a doctor after 24 hours shift would prefer to stay in their bed binge watching netflix and chill so they can relax both physically and mentally at the same time.
Secondly, some individuals think that this habit will effect our economy and culture. For example, if public will visit theatres and watch dramas their children will learn about the culture as theatres show cultural perspectives and history. As well as, cinemas contribute in economy building people visit can increase economy by gaining money as they sell tickets and will help most of people get jobs.
In my perspective, visiting cinemas or theatres is crucial to build bonding. To illustrate, in this busy world parents have no time to spend with their children even when they are home they prefer watching cell phones. So, if they hangout together they can make their bonds stronger.
In conclusion, going out and socializing is always important to keep yourself physically and mentally stable. It is also important for country economy and to pass culture on to the next generation.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding the economy is vague, stating that cinemas 'increase economy by gaining money' without explaining the mechanism. The example of the doctor is relevant but could be more effectively linked to the broader cultural impact. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points with more specific, analytical detail rather than relying on general statements. The position is clear throughout, but the depth of argumentation is inconsistent.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Firstly,' 'Secondly,' and 'In conclusion,' which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or awkward, such as 'As well as, cinemas contribute in economy building.' Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, particularly in the second paragraph where the link between 'this habit' and the subsequent points could be more explicit. Overall, the progression of ideas is coherent, but the use of cohesive devices could be more sophisticated and varied.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'hectic schedules,' 'inflation rate,' and 'cultural perspectives.' However, there are instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'remain stick to the culture' (should be 'remain connected to') and 'increase economy' (should be 'boost the economy'). Some phrasing is informal, such as 'binge watching netflix and chill.' To improve, focus on using more precise academic collocations and avoid colloquialisms to maintain a formal tone.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'peoples life' (missing apostrophe), 'effect our economy' (should be 'affect'), and 'most of people' (should be 'most people'). There are also issues with article usage and subject-verb agreement. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Increasing your control over complex structures and proofreading for basic punctuation and agreement errors would significantly improve your score.
