Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the task. However, the development of ideas is limited. For example, the argument regarding economic growth is mentioned but not clearly explained or supported with specific evidence. The connection between 'Ramayana' and cultural preservation is a good attempt at an example, but the explanation remains somewhat vague. To improve, you should focus on expanding your points with more detailed reasoning and clearer examples to ensure the reader fully understands your perspective on both the economic and cultural significance of cinemas.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For instance, the use of 'Moreover' and 'Hence' is sometimes forced, and the transition between sentences is occasionally abrupt, such as in the second paragraph where the shift from online platforms to theatre experiences feels disjointed. Additionally, referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult to track the flow of arguments. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words will help create a more natural and logical progression of ideas.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward word choices, such as 'demandable movie are require' and 'we revenue the profit'. Additionally, there are spelling errors like 'fasinacting' and 'moto'. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like '3D animation' and 'artificial intelligence', the overall range is limited, and the errors occasionally hinder the clarity of your message. Focusing on learning collocations and ensuring accurate word forms will significantly improve your score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'young ones also very fasinacting to watch', 'all ages people interest to go', and 'theatre sound quality is very good and huge screen is display'. These errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement and sentence construction, are frequent and sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. To reach a higher band, you need to demonstrate better control over complex sentence structures and reduce the frequency of basic grammatical mistakes.
