Student answer (Band 5.0)
Few individuals say that in coming age theatres and cinemas are not important because peoples can watch all of these things online. but on the other hand people say that theatres and cinemas are still important both economically and culturally. I will go with the statement now a days the importance of cinemas and theaters are less because of online mobile phones. i will discuss both views after that i gave my opinion.
Those peoples who says that the importance of theaters and cinema are less on future they are right because in the future everyone have mobile phones and packages they can see all those things like movies dramas and stories but in theatres firstly they bought tickets after that lot of time they waste on to saw the show and they are other expense which can devote for see the show For instance a man who was going to watch a show in theatre Firstly they can get a vehicle to reached the place secondly they bought tickets and they see the show if they have a mobile phone they can see easily which he wants.
On the other hand those peoples who argue that theatres and cinemas are still important both economically and culturally they are right because of some reason behind this first is that it gives jobs to works and also promote our culture if these are cinemas are close in future then the worker who works there are became jobless and also they connect our with traditional reviews for example My uncle works in a theatre some years ago he became jobless i want to know the reason from my uncle they said me the owner could not meet their expenses so he thought it was better to close it .
In conclusion i am strongly agree with that statement there are no need of cinemas and theatres in future because of modern age and electronic and mechanical devices which are the source of better entertainment with respect to theatres and cinemas.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on the importance of theatres and cinemas in the digital age, and the student clearly states their own opinion that cinemas are no longer needed. However, the development of ideas is limited and repetitive, and the reasoning relies heavily on simplistic examples, such as talking about 'mobile phones and packages' and a personal anecdote about an uncle losing his job. While the position is maintained throughout, the lack of depth and overly simplistic arguments prevent the response from achieving a higher band score. The candidate covers the prompt's requirements adequately, but the arguments remain underdeveloped, aligning well with the descriptors for a band 5.5.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay has some basic organisation with paragraph breaks representing introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing an attempt at a coherent arrangement. However, the overall progression is weakened by repetitive transitions and run-on sentences. Cohesive devices are used awkwardly or inaccurately, such as 'but on the other hand people say', 'after that i gave my opinion', and 'for example my uncle works in a theatre'. Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion is frequently faulty and mechanical. Referencing and pronoun use are often unclear, making it occasionally hard to follow the flow of arguments. These features place the response firmly in the band 5 category.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and frequently repetitive, relying on basic words like 'important', 'people', 'see', and 'future'. There are noticeable word choice and morphological errors throughout the text, such as 'peoples' instead of 'people', 'works' instead of 'workers', 'became jobless' instead of 'became jobless' or 'lost their jobs', and 'traditional reviews' instead of 'traditional roots' or 'cultural heritage'. While the vocabulary is minimally adequate to convey the basic message, the frequent lexical errors and lack of a wider, more flexible range prevent the score from reaching band 6. The lexical resource is characteristic of a band 5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentences, but these attempts are frequently faulty, leading to run-on sentences and punctuation failures (e.g., lowercase 'i', missing full stops, and comma splices like 'if they have a mobile phone they can see easily which he wants'). Grammatical errors are frequent throughout the text, including tense inconsistencies ('i gave my opinion' instead of 'I will give my opinion'), subject-verb agreement issues ('everybody have', 'Those peoples who says'), and missing articles. These errors often cause difficulty for the reader and mean that error-free sentences are rare, placing the grammar score at a band 4.5.
