Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, theaters and cinemas are no longer important as people watch all the entertainment they want online. But some people say that theatres and cinemas are still important both economical and culturally.
Nowadays people of digital age prefer to watch entertainment online because it is easy and everything available online. people are going cinema less than before. Tickets are expensive, ticket of person and snacks are roughly cost 500. on the other hand streaming is cheaper. Going to cinema take 2-4 hours with play at home press play and done easier with kid and work. Watch from home are more convenient and comfortable than to go cinema no traffic no parking .
For example : watch any season on Netflix is more coinvent than to watch any movie is cinema because at home there is no traffic issue, and its much cheaper than the cinema.
old school people prefer theaters and cinema because of big movies like marvel, fast and furious. the big screen and sound experience is different. cinema is good for friend to hangouts. Cinema is still a thing to do outside. So cinema did not die. it just became special occasion only instead of every week.
For example : Specially occasion family and friend prefer to watch entertainment on big screen and it is great thing to spent quality time with friend and friend.
In my opinion watch entertainment online is more convenient than to go cinema. It is very cheaper and easy than cinema and theaters.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both views required by the prompt, discussing the decline of cinemas due to online streaming alongside their continued cultural and economic significance. The student also provides a personal opinion, stating that online entertainment is more convenient. However, the development of ideas is limited and repetitive. For instance, the arguments regarding convenience and cost are restated multiple times without sufficient extension or depth. Examples provided, such as mentioning Netflix and Marvel movies, are brief and lack detailed elaboration. According to the Band 5 descriptors, the task is addressed, but ideas remain somewhat limited and under-developed with a repetitive structure.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The text is organized into paragraphs, attempting to introduce different sides of the argument and provide examples. However, the logical progression is frequently disrupted by choppy, disjointed sentences and a lack of smooth transitions. Cohesive devices are minimal, repetitive, or inaccurate, such as using 'For example :' repeatedly without integrated linkers. Paragraphing is attempted, but individual paragraphs are often single, fragmented sentences rather than cohesive units of thought. Referencing is sometimes unclear, which places a heavy burden on the reader to follow the train of thought. This aligns closely with the Band 5 descriptors for coherence and cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, frequently reusing terms like 'entertainment', 'cinema', 'online', and 'convenient' across sentences. There are notable word choice and collocation errors, such as writing 'economical' instead of 'economically', 'ticket of person', and 'play at home press play'. Spelling and grammatical forms of words also show frequent errors, such as 'coinvent' for convenient. While the vocabulary is minimally adequate to convey the basic message regarding streaming versus cinemas, it lacks the range and precision required for higher bands, fitting the Band 5 descriptor for lexical resource.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response demonstrates a very limited range of grammatical structures. Most sentences are simple or poorly constructed attempts at complex forms that result in heavy grammatical errors, such as 'Going to cinema take 2-4 hours with play at home press play and done easier with kid and work.' Errors in subject-verb agreement, tense consistency, articles, and preposition usage are pervasive throughout the text (e.g., 'watch entertainment online is more convenient than to go cinema'). These frequent errors and structural limitations cause considerable difficulty for the reader and clearly reflect the Band 5 descriptors for grammatical range and accuracy.
