Student answer (Band 5.0)
Today is the age of technology, because digital techniques grows faster. Some people say that theatres and cinemas are no longer important for entertainment. Some argue that they are still present because of there economical and cultural importance. I also believe that modern techniques degrade the physical entertainment, because of busy life routine and digital access to everything at any place.
Firstly, new approaches can minimize the use of theatres and cimemas because of modern system can change everything. Today, life is very busy and we have no time for other activities and enjoyments. Internet is the important feature of any kind of amusement, as we can watch any kind of videos, movies and shows at any place of world. Increasing inflation also fall the physical fun as it demands a big amount of money.
Secondly, those who believe that big screen fun is still crucial for our economics and culture because they enhance our culture and promote our traditions. Theatres and cinemas give us opportunity to share our personal space with others and it chnages our mind and we feel more peacful and removes anxiety.
In conclusion, both the views have their own vital role in our society. But i stand with the first opinion that fresh plans can replace the old structures and now people watch online videos and it is more easy and convienient for them.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response discusses both views regarding the importance of theatres and cinemas, presenting arguments for their decline due to digital alternatives as well as their ongoing economic and cultural value. The student also offers a personal opinion, stating that digital access and busy routines make online viewing more convenient. However, the word count is 229 words, which fails to meet the minimum requirement of 250 words, resulting in a necessary penalty under Task Achievement. Additionally, some ideas are under-developed or repetitive, such as the brief mentions of inflation and personal space, which prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Overall, all parts of the prompt are addressed, but the limited length and underdeveloped support keep the score at Band 5.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into four paragraphs, following a standard introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. There is a basic attempt at logical organisation, using transition markers such as "Firstly", "Secondly", and "In conclusion". However, the progression of ideas is sometimes disjointed, and referencing is not always clear (e.g., "those who believe that big screen fun is still crucial... because they enhance our culture"). Cohesive devices are used somewhat mechanically, and the relationship between sentences within paragraphs lacks smooth transitions. Paragraphing is present, but overall, the coherence suffers from awkward linking and limited progression, aligning best with a Band 5.0 descriptor.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student uses a limited vocabulary with noticeable errors that occasionally impede understanding. Phrases like "digital techniques grows faster", "physical fun", and "big amount of money" demonstrate basic word choice and collocation issues. There are also typographical and lexical inaccuracies, such as "cimemas", "peacful", and "convienient". While the student attempts some less common vocabulary items such as "inflation" and "traditions", the overall range is restricted and repetitive, making it difficult to award higher than a Band 5.0 for this criterion.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay exhibits a very limited range of grammatical structures. Most complex sentence attempts are flawed or contain frequent errors, such as "Today is the age of technology, because digital techniques grows faster" (subject-verb agreement error) and "both the views have their own vital role". Punctuation and article usage are also inconsistent ("Internet is the important feature", "at any place of world"). Frequent grammatical errors cause some difficulty for the reader, although basic meaning generally remains clear. These issues place the response firmly at Band 5.0 for grammatical range and accuracy.
