Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both the decline of theatres due to online streaming and their ongoing economic and cultural importance. The writer also includes a clear personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive, particularly in the body paragraphs. For instance, the discussion on economic impact relies on vague phrasing ("as a foam of tax, for the particular country") rather than deep elaboration, and the historical reference ("in 80s people use to watch...") is brief. While a clear position is maintained throughout, the supporting arguments lack the depth and extension expected at higher band levels. Therefore, this performance fits comfortably within the Band 6 descriptors for Task Achievement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction, two distinct body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the two opposing viewpoints. However, cohesion is frequently faulty and mechanical. There are numerous awkward transitions and grammatical errors in cohesive structures, such as "both both these views will discussed by following essay" and "On the Other hand, theatres and cinemas, plays vital role...". Furthermore, referencing and logical progression are occasionally disrupted by mechanical linking devices and punctuation errors. While the overall direction of the argument is understandable, the intrusive and inaccurate cohesion places this response at Band 5.0.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common items such as "advancement in technology," "working professionals," and "sovineer." However, there are frequent spelling errors (e.g., "pepole" instead of people, "intresting" instead of interesting, "theateres" instead of theatres, "defination" instead of definition, "numereous" instead of numerous, "incredebly" instead of incredibly, "sovineer" instead of souvenir) and word-choice inaccuracies (e.g., "foam of tax" instead of form of tax, "loving once" instead of loved ones). These errors occasionally detract from the reading experience, though they do not completely impede communication. This vocabulary profile aligns well with the Band 5 descriptors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing relative clauses and conditional structures such as "People who are working professionals and who are studying, they do not need to find some extra time..." and "Moreover, it is not limited to the flexibility of time, but also, it does not required any kind of travelling." However, grammatical accuracy is weak, marked by frequent errors in subject-verb agreement (e.g., "theatres and cinemas, plays vital role", "it does not required"), punctuation, and incorrect verb forms. Complex structures are often faulty, and the high frequency of basic grammatical errors causes noticeable difficulty for the reader. These features are characteristic of a Band 5 performance for grammatical control.
